This beautiful character cottage boasts lovely sympathetic styling alongside traditional charm, modern comforts including a hot tub, and provides comfortable and flexible accommodation for a variety of family groups.

Perfectly placed, there is much to see and do nearby, with the stunning cathedral city of Exeter being just a short drive away and offering a variety of shops, restaurants and amenities. Closer to home, the town of Tiverton boasts a pretty canal and from here you can hire a barge for the day. Walkers will also be in their element with the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and both Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks all within each reach. Beach lovers can explore the world-renowned Jurassic coastline, including picturesque Lyme Regis, and the pretty seaside resorts of Sidmouth and Branscombe. There are also several National Trust properties in the area including Killerton and Knightshayes.

Step inside this beautifully characterful cottage and you will immediately find yourself in the welcoming country kitchen. This perfectly presented space includes a fabulous range of appliances and equipment including a Belfast sink, electric oven and gas hob, microwave and dishwasher; plus, a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge/freezer. From here, venture further inside and into the dining room which boasts a stunning oak table with bench seating and provides a perfect venue for relaxed family meals. Making this a brilliantly sociable and flexible space is a door which leads through to a pretty conservatory with seating, and from here a further set of French doors lead to outside, allowing you to dine alfresco with ease during warm weather. The next room is the cosy lounge, and this boasts a Smart TV and an original inglenook fireplace with a warming wood burner and offers somewhere to relax in a home-from-home setting. Leading off this there is a lovely little snug/playroom, and this offers a second Smart TV, PS4 games and DVD's. Completing the offering on the ground floor is a shower room with shower and WC. Ascending the stairs to the first floor, you will then find the beautiful bedrooms, all presented in a lovely contemporary country style. Offering flexible accommodation for a variety of groups, these include two double rooms, and two king-size rooms (both with zip-and-link beds that can be presented as twin rooms with 2’6” single beds upon request). The final room inside the property and located alongside the bedrooms is a bathroom with a shower attachment on the bath and a WC.

Heading outside, further highlights await in the form of the gorgeous outside space. This comprises an enclosed garden with a lawn, patio area, garden furniture and a BBQ. Here you can relax in style at the end of a busy day exploring and enjoy a dip in the hot tub after a good walk. Private off-road parking for three cars is also provided.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage and gardens were absolutely beautiful and very well equipped. The added bonus of the hot tub was excellent. The cottage was spacious and comfortable. There were lots of little extra touches that made it such a great stay. Fabulous hot tub, large enclosed garden, bath robes, fluffy towels, freezer, washer drier, range cooker, free range eggs and friendly owners. Also beautifully quiet. We will definitely be back.

Pigsfoot Cottage is an absolute delight. From the moment we walked through the beautiful garden and saw the house, we were impressed. Its very spacious (we had a teenager, a child and a grandma with us!) so it fulfilled all our needs. Its in a great location as you can reach the north/ south Devon coasts as well as Exmoor and Dartmoor all within 40Read more-45 mins. The owners are kind and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Brilliant place to stay, home from home experience. Great area, walking distance to some lovely places! Hosts are fantastic, warm and welcoming! Would defiantly recommend.
