For those wanting to get on the water, head to the UK’s fifth longest river, the River Wye, where you can hire a canoe or kayak and take it easy or tackle the rapids at Symonds Yat (17 miles). Canoe hire is also available from Hay-on-Wye (19 miles) and Glasbury (22 miles).
