Overall we found the cottage very comfortable and well equipped. It was a good base for exploring the local area, in particular accessing the moors. Our only slight disappointment was that the expected view was restricted by the large village hall.

Beautiful cottage in a very lovely setting. Cottage to a very high standard. My only criticism was the beds in my opinion were hard and would benefit from a topper. Pub in the village was ok for a meal and was convenient. Had a meal at the Black Swan in Helmsley which was excellent and for any foodies the Star Inn is a lovely treat.

Cottage was fabulous and the welcome pack was a nice touch, thank you. Two very small grumbles. Firstly the grill, oven and bedroom TV's did not work. We didn't worry as we were only there for the weekend but could be an issue if we were there longer. Secondly, we arrived quite late and as it was dark we could not find the property. Some clearer inRead morestructions/directions would be helpful. Maybe mention the car park is near the Village Hall. Over all, a very enjoyable stay and we will be back. Hide

Beautiful cottage in beautiful location. Under floor heating on flagstone floor was lovely for an autumn break. Pub nearby was great- good food and very welcoming landlady.

Excellent location for hardy walkers, lovely cottage comfortably coping with four adults. Country pub, just 50 yards away, and serving very good food.
