Westward Ho! is a two minutes’ drive away, offering two miles of golden sands popular amongst surfers, sunbathers and sandcastle makers. Horse riding, tennis and golf are also available and the South West Coast Path offers breathtaking cliff-top views and walks. There are numerous popular sandy beaches nearby including Instow, Woolacombe and Croyde. You could take a riverside walk to the market town of Bideford, while cyclists and ramblers will love the traffic free Tarka Trail, offering stunning views and filled with wildlife. You can explore the rugged beauty of Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks, take a boat trip to see the famous Puffins on Lundy Island, visit the picturesque town of Ilfracombe or explore the pretty harbour at Clovelly. There are many other attractions including The Milky Way Adventure Park, The Big Sheep, Arlington Court and RHS Rosemoor.

On entering this impressive property you will find yourself in the hallway, off from which is the light filled attractive lounge, a relaxing space with gas fire, Smart TV, with Sky and DVD (with Sky Sports) and a Wii games console, ideal for children while the adults relax in the garden. Amberley House was a great retreat for our family break. The location is good, with a nice short walk down to the Torridge and the Coastal path, and lots of lovely beaches are a short drive away. This house is fabulous. Its spacious and spotlessly clean. We all had our own rooms with own en suite and tv. The garden is beautiful and the hot tubs and games room were a wonderful treat. Its lovely and peaceful, well equipped, not overlooked and lots of space for everyone to do their own thing. The property was perfect for 2 families in size and layout and the games room was brilliant. Property is in need of an update in my opinion but would certainly recommend.

Great family home, lots of space and great to have all bedrooms en suite. Two living room areas was good for all joining in or a space to sit quietly and read. Lovely garden for our dogs to roam and we all enjoyed the games room, especially me and my 16yr old grandson playing table tennis. Boys loved the pool table too.

There were 8 adults and three children the oldest 3 years old. The space was perfect and accommodated us very well. We also had two dogs with us and they loved the large enclosed garden. The hot tub was great too.

All bedrooms were comfortable and all on suit but the whole place needed updating and toilets and showers in all rooms need more water pressure. It is well situated for bus routs and a lovely south facing garden that is a sun trap.

The property is very nice, just as described in the brochure. The garden is large definitely dog friendly unless you have a very small dog ( the iron gate may allow escape ). The cottage is just right for a large family gathering with an age range from 3 to 72. The location is very good and the garden is great for a large family of all ages. It is well appointed and provides plenty of off road parking. A surprise welcome pack was provided and much appreciated.

The perfect location for a 3-generation family holiday. Effectively 3 separate sleeping areas with communal lounges, dining and kitchen. Superb garden for all sorts of games and plenty of space for cars. Great location close to westward ho beach with other beaches and attractions within easy reach. Really hard to fault.
