Located in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, this glorious traditional Welsh stone Longhouse is the perfect base for getting to know the surrounding valleys and quaint market towns. The house is on the edge of National Trust land that runs up to the top of the Beacons so you can walk from your own front door to the top of the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons, Pen Y Fan.  This is a wonderful location whether you're relaxing with friends, or want to explore the landscape on foot or by mountain bike.   For more relaxing afternoons, visit the nearby town of Brecon (5 miles) and Hay-on-Wye (21 miles).

A completely unique property that sits on 3 acres of land, there’s more than enough room for eight guests to unwind here in the Brecon Beacons. Step inside and discover the kitchen, where wall-to-wall windows offer delightful views of the pretty garden. Prepare dinner using the double induction oven with hob, grill, microwave and fridge, sit down to enjoy lazy breakfasts at the kitchen table or make full use of the dining room. The dining room seats 8 and boasts a warming wood burner. The utility room has a dishwasher, along with an extra fridge/freezer, oven and hob plus washing machine and tumble dryer. This handy room is a great spot for drying off muddy paws. There is also a large boot rack in the porch for your boots whilst not in use. The sitting room offers the same beautiful views as the kitchen, with comfortable sofas, cosy wood burner and TV/DVD. The first of four bedrooms can be found on the ground floor, with a spacious zip-and-link super king-size boasting an en-suite with large walk-in shower. Three further bedrooms are located on the first floor, including the master super king-size zip and link which is accessed via its own staircase. The master bedroom has an en-suite with its own bath and shower over. Completing the property are two further bedrooms, both of which contain zip-and-link beds and en-suite bathrooms. The first of these is a super king-size, whilst the second is a suitably spacious king-size.

Surrounded by seemingly endless outdoor space, the terrace is well-furnished with space for 8 to dine alfresco, a hot tub and BBQ. The generous gardens come equipped with croquet, table tennis, darts and badminton sets. You’re welcome to lock the shed when storing mountain bikes and equipment. Completing the area are two spacious fields that are ideal for exercising dogs and a kennel with a secure dog run. A pretty brook flows past this property but is secured by a fence to ensure a safe play area for children.

 

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The Cottage was wonderful and ideal for a family and friends gathering. It was so homely but spacious at the same time and had everything we needed and more. All bedrooms were en-suite which was great. Waking up at the foot of the Beacons was stunning. The hot tub was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend, my friends hope to have their own sRead moretay and I hope to stay again. Hide
