A very well appointed apartment with plenty of room for a family stay. Warm and cosy with a great kitchen and a log fire in the lounge. The location is perfect with a 50 metre stroll to the harbour and beach path. The hosts couldn't have been kinder during our stay.

It might be a thought that it is not suitable for older guests who are not particularly mobile and dog owners . Access to dog walks really difficult .

We found Balai House to be comfortable, impeccably clean and very well located near the harbour, shop, pub and bus stop. The kitchen is practical and well equipped, and the owner was very helpful. Gardenstown proved to be a really good base for exploring the Moray coast although we also ventured inland to Dufftown and Old Deer. Troup Head, which isRead more probably walking distance via Crovie, should not be missed by anyone interested in bird life, or who just appreciates a dramatic coastal walk. Hide

What a beautiful holiday home, the perfect location for a holiday. Chris the host was waiting for us with the keys on arrival, such a lovely gentleman, showed us around the cottage and told us a lot of places to visit, very knowledgable. Exc grnd flr in Main St of Gardenstown. Host made sure everything we could ever need was provided even ensuring a welcome pack of food which included everything for our Sunday breakfast as well as 2 tins of home baking. Only downside was that the garden isnt adjacent to the house. It was accessed via a lane and through a locked outbuilding but was Read morefully enclosed which was a bonus. Friendly pub a few houses along was perfect for an evening of gin rummy. Beach down a set of nearby steps. Hide

Great cottage, clean, comfortable and quiet. Parking location is tight on a narrow street, with limited spaces but manageable. The cottage has everything needed for a holiday away from home. Great area to explore and our 2 small dogs loved the beach and surrounding walks.
