One of two delightful holiday homes in a glorious rural setting, just a stone’s throw from Exmoor National Park.

Nestling at the end of a long private driveway, this property is in a tranquil location surrounded by 20 acres of beautiful countryside. Enjoy the glorious views, birds and wildlife, and explore Exmoor National Park, which is just 500 yards from the cottage. You could also visit the Bronze Age clapper bridge, the Tarr Steps, and the pub overlooking the River Barle. Dulverton is four miles away, with a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. A host of country pursuits are within easy reach, including fly and sea fishing, pony trekking, mountain biking and game and clay pigeon shooting. There are beaches within driving distance too at Woolacombe and Putsborough. The cottage was refurbished in 2016 and has a real countryside aesthetic throughout. The cosy lounge has an electric fire, which you can curl up beside on cooler evenings. There’s also a TV and French doors which open up onto the enclosed garden. In the kitchen/diner is an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge with ice compartment, while the utility room has both a washing machine and tumble dryer should you need them during your stay. There’s also a large dining table with plenty of space for a large family dinner, and a separate WC also on the ground floor. Heading upstairs you’ll find the master double bedroom and a twin, both with far-reaching countryside views. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC. Outside is an enclosed garden with lawn, which is accessed over a small brook. There’s also garden furniture so you can sit outside and soak up the breath-taking surroundings, as well as ample parking.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

A remote, beautiful and peaceful location with 360 degrees of stunning landscape and fabulous unspoilt views. The owners made you feel very welcome and part of their farm and family life. If you like isolation and far from the madding crowd, this is paradise.

The Cottage was perfect for us (2 adults and one baby) It is a very quiet place with lots of animals. The owners are lovely people and let you feel right at home. It is a great starting point to visit Exmoor national park with all its gorgeos walking paths.

Tranquil, very quiet location. Ideal for those who want peace and quiet and enjoy the sights and sounds of the country side. Greeted with a very tasty lemon drizzle cake the holiday got off to a fine start. We really enjoyed our break.
