The house is old and quite quirky. It's a great house for a group of people and dogs as we were and we had fun there. However, the house is really in need of upgrading and whilst part of its charm is its remote location, we spent a lot of time in the car each day getting to the start of our walking routes.

A fascinating old house with stunning views. Garden, tennis court & games room were well used! We were multi generation party (suited all ages) but be aware that there are stairs up or down to a bathroom from twin bedroom & steep narrow stairs to attic room. Great pub within walking distance!

Wonderful weekend stay in a quirky old house oozing with character and history. The location and views were spectacular and felt very very at home extremely quickly. The dogs loved running around the fully enclosed, large garden and the games facilities were great for children and adults of all ages. Cooking on the aga was an experience, but like oRead morethers we soon got used to it. My only advice would be to plan menus that dont require a lot of oven work as space is limited. Hide
