A huge Georgian semi-detached home within walking distance of Ilfracombe’s town and Tunnels Beach.

The property’s central location means you can leave the car behind and fully relax into your Devon holiday. If you are a group who enjoy the cinema, the Embassy hosts year round entertainment and is just a few minutes down the road. Good places to eat line the harbour and the lower town. For keen walkers, the Torrs Walk runs right past the house joining up with the South West Coast Path. Ilfracombe’s pretty harbour is an easy ten minute strolls away and offers fishing charters and pleasure cruises around the coast or to Lundy Island. For those who want to try their hand at surfing, the popular beach of Woolacombe is just a 10 minute drive away.

This large accommodation is arranged over four floors and has nine bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities and TVs. On the ground floor of the property, just off the main entrance hall, is one twin with an en-suite shower and WC. Upstairs on the first floor is one double four-poster with en-suite bath and WC, one double with en-suite shower and WC, one double with an additional single bed with en-suite shower and WC and one double with en-suite shower and WC (with two steps leading into the bedroom). On the second floor is one twin with en-suite shower and WC, one double with additional single bed with en-suite bath and WC and two doubles with en-suite bath and WC. On entrance to the property is a large reception hall with a sweeping staircase leading to the upper levels, there is also a large inner porch with a ground floor cloakroom and WC. The large lounge, which has a bay window overlooking the town, has a TV/DVD, gas fire and a small door leading through to a snug. If you prefer to stay in and cook than go out the well-equipped kitchen has everything you will need to cook up a hearty meal, with a large six burner gas hob, gas oven, two microwaves, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The dining room, which seats 20 offers plenty of space for every guest, is complete with a hi-fi and an additional small lounge and door which leads to the south facing garden. There are two separate utility rooms in the house, with additional freezers and fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer. The house has a games room, complete with a pool and bar billiards table, table football and darts.

Outside, there is allocated parking for four cars as well as free road parking.

Generally clean, very warm and comfortable, albeit basic. Well equipped kitchen. Well located, 10 minutes walk to the harbour and 5 to coast path. Small enclosed rear garden ideal for dogs. Good sized communal rooms. All bedrooms good size, comfortable and clean.

Although the owner was very helpful over the phone we did have a gas issue that I felt needed attention but just had to turn it off to stop the smell of gas. Also most of the beds need new mattresses.

A party of 19 (including 5 children) stayed here for a long weekend. Brilliant house for a large party. Plenty of room for everyone. Bedroom layout was perfect with everyone having what they needed. Games room was great! Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

A lovely warm, large, clean space with bags of character. We had a great extended family holiday and the kids loved playing pool, hide and seek and treasure hunts. Some equipment, furniture, decor is old or dated but with children and dogs we're looking for comfort over glamour. Fantastic location for coast walks, the town and especially for the TuRead morennels beaches. Hide
