Property code: BEEBA

A cosy detached barn in the Devonshire countryside, which offers a quiet retreat for anyone looking to get away from it all.

Near this converted barn are a wealth of breathtaking coastlines just waiting to be explored. Just 13 miles by road is the pretty coastal town of Bude, as well as many other beaches and coves dotted along the cliffs. The Tamar Lakes, Clovelly, RHS Rosemoor, The Milky Way Adventure Park and The Big Sheep are all within easy reach and a great answer to what to do on a rainy Devon afternoon. Slightly further afield, but still within an hour’s drive, is the market town of Barnstaple, Dartmoor National Park, historic Tintagel and Bodmin Moor making this property the perfect base to explore some of the highlights of both Devon and Cornwall.

This barn conversion, which is full of character and still retains its exposed beams, offers one double bedroom and one twin. The family bathroom has a shower over bath and WC and lounge/diner is a large comfortable area with a woodburner (first basket of logs free), a radio/CD player, flatscreen TV, DVD and recording HD box. If you would rather stay in to cook than venture out for food, the well equipped kitchen has an oven and hob, a washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave.

Outside is a private enclosed garden, which has the sun all day . Dogs can be exericsed in one of the designated fields onsite and there is a shared seating area overlooking a pond which guests can enjoy. Ample off-road parking is available. Please note that dogs are expected to be kept on a lead unless in the enclosed garden or the exercise field due to the resident animals.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

A lovely cottage set in beautiful countryside. The cottage has been very thoughtfully equipped and so we had everything we needed and it was fully dog friendly. The enclosed garden was brilliant for the dogs (and for us too!) and the enclosed exercise field is an added bonus. Would highly recommend those who want a peaceful cottage with a safe spacRead moree for dogs. Hide

This is a perfect property for a nice quiet break with the dogs, close enough to Bude and closer to both small local shops and a Waitrose for the essentials. Field is just what is needed for dogs with lots of energy, and is secure.

Beech Barn was very well equipped and had a very secure garden for the dogs to be let loose in. The cottage owners were also very pleasant, including the goodies that were left for us and our dogs.

Cottage had everything and made most welcome but left to our own privacy. Dogs had their own field to run in - what more could you ask for. We had a great week touring around North Devon. The location was a bit remote but fine for us with the dogs. Very quiet and beautiful accommodation. Fresh eggs from the farm went down well.

Nothing i can fault about this cottage, Location is very subjective and we did wonder if it wasn't a bit too quiet when we arrived but the birdsong, buzzing bees and clucking chickens added to the ambiance for a really relaxing break, Field to exercise the dogs was a wonderful thought and much appreciated, if you are happy to just relax then this iRead mores ideal. A very comfortable and warm cottage. Kitchen had everything you needed and the welcome pack of pastries, milk in the fridge and even treats for our dog was great. Enclosed garden was perfect for an escape artist beagle. Also the enclosed 4 acre paddock was brilliant for the evening run about. We spent a week in February so the log burner was a treaRead moret and made the evenings really cosy. The beds were really comfortable. Owners were friendly and helpful. Good location only 12 miles from Bude. Hide
