A lovely cottage in a peaceful farm setting, surrounded by over 200 acres of countryside. There’s plenty to explore on the farmland itself and it’s well-placed for discovery.
Located at the end of a quiet no-through road, this character cottage is at the heart of 210 acres of Cornish farmland. A nature trail and woodland walks lead you past the cows and sheep who live here. A pub and shop is just 1 mile away, meaning you will have everything you need within a short distance, but the property is also in a prime position to explore many of the attractions the county has to offer. The town of Liskeard is close by with a wider choice of amenities, while the beaches of South Cornwall as well as its pretty fishing villages, such as Looe and Polperro, are also a short drive away.
This cottage retains much of its charm throughout with an added contemporary feel. On the ground floor there is a spacious lounge/kitchen/diner, with wood and slate flooring throughout. The lounge is extremely inviting and features a traditional fireplace with original bread oven and wood burner, as well as a smart TV and DVD/Blu-Ray. In the kitchen guests will find a variety of appliances: a cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi are all included with a stay. For those bringing young children along, there is a highchair available as well of plenty of space to put a travel cot. A delicious Cornish cream tea will also be waiting to welcome you on arrival. On the first floor are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The bedrooms consist of one king-size with a hand basin and one twin with en-suite shower and WC, both with wall mounted TV's. The bathroom is family-sized and features a shower over bath and a WC.
Outside of the property there is a private enclosed seating area with BBQ and a stones throw from the house you will find a games room with a multi games table which features pool, table tennis and air hockey as well as a football table. Guests are also free to use the owner’s garden, which contains a tree swing and see-saw for children, as well as the tennis court and woodland walks on site with fire pit. There is also a nature trail, which has direct access from the bridleway, perfect for dog walks. There is plenty of parking available. Electric car charging is possible from an outside power point - donation to owner to cover costs, suggested £10 per charge/£30 per week.
