This stunning stone farmhouse is the perfect family retreat with spectacular views and easy access to Loch Tummel, and is finished with cosy, traditional touches throughout.

The enchanting and magnificent location of this property is quite spectacular, with an abundance of beautiful views across the countryside directly from the property itself. 5 miles away lies the village of Tummel Bridge where you will find a small selection of shops ,and just a little further out (7 miles) is the town of Pitlochry – a must-visit for your time away. For a relaxing meal out why not head to Strathtummel just 2 miles away, where you will find a lovely country inn with breath-taking views. Perfect for the outdoorsy type, Pitlochry offers golf, fishing, cycling and even extreme outdoor sports such as bungee jumping, perfect for getting your adrenaline fix before returning to your cosy abode for the evening

Quintessentially country and undeniably Scottish, this beautiful farmhouse feels like a proper family home from the minute you pull up outside. Very well equipped with everything you should need, the kitchen is bound to be one of your favourite spots with its beautiful design, large dining table and comforting Aga. After a delicious meal has been enjoyed, the drawing room with an open fire makes for the perfect spot to snuggle up with a good book, film or games with all of the family. Downstairs, there is also a further snug room, pantry, utility room perfect for drying off wet dogs, and a separate WC. All three of the bedrooms upstairs are light, bright and beautifully presented - the two front rooms boast the same wonderful views over the countryside, while the twin room at the back has been decorated to please the little ones in your party. Completing the upstairs is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and the super king-size bedroom has its own adjoining WC. You will also find a shower room.

The gorgeous garden outside is fully enclosed and has a selection of garden furniture, perfect for relaxing in when the weather is warm. Families can enjoy hours of hide and seek, ball games and discovering wildlife in this beautiful outside space.

Adventurers should head for Schiehallion (13.5 miles), a prominent mountain for climbing and hiking, while rafting can be enjoyed on the River Garry (15 miles). Stock up on supplies at the small convenience store in Pitlochry or enjoy a delicious meal out at the popular pub. The popular House of Bruar (15.5 miles) is well worth a visit for anyone in need of a bit of retail therapy. We enjoyed our stay at Borenich cottage a lot. The house has everything you need and you can feel really "at home" there. The area around has a lot to offer: Glen Lyon, Cairngorm National Park, even Inverness and Loch Ness is in driving distance. Pitlochry is a charming small town with a great distillery ( Blair Athol), Hetties Cafe, fish ladder, hRead moreiking routes everywhere..... We loved it!!! Hide

Der Weg und der Schlssel waren so einfach zu finden, dass ich auf Grund der komplexen Beschreibung schon dachte, es ist etwas falsch. Das Haus war beim Eintreten schon warm und sauber. Alles war da, was man fr den ersten (und auch zweiten) Abend brauchen kann (sogar eine Flasche sehr guten Rotweins- Danke!). Der Weg zum See ist matschig, aber hey- Read moreman ist nur fr sich! Man quert eine Weide- bei uns zum Glck Schafe- und ein- zweimal einen Bach und ist unten am See. Ein Traum fr meinen Hund, ein Traum fr mich. Beim Durchlesen der Cottage Beschreibung dachte ich zuerst, oh, das sind aber viele dos and don`ts. Aber im Grunde geht es um einen normalen Umgang (kein Hund im 1. Stock und auf den Sofas, die Mbel nicht verschieben oder am Ende zurckstellen...). Pitlochry mit all seinen Shops und Cafes und Restaurants ist 10 Minuten mit dem Auto weg, der erste schne Spaziergang keine 5 Minuten. Wir konnten die Woche mit Spaziergngen und kleinen Touren wunderbar fllen, ohne lnger als 30 Minuten irgendwohin zu fahren. Infomaterial ist ausreichend vorhanden. Und am Abend waren wir wieder ganz allein in dieser himmlischen Ruhe vor dem offenen Kamin. Die Dusche ist ok, das Bett bequemer als meins zu Hause! Ich kann das Haus nur empfehlen! TRANSLATION: The way and the key were so easy to find that due to the complex description, I thought something was wrong. The house was already warm and clean when entering. Everything was there, what you need for the first (and second) evening (even a bottle of very good red wine- thank you!). The road to the lake is muddy, but hey- man is only for himself! One crosses a pasture - fortunately with us sheep and once a brook and is down at the lake. A dream for my dog, a dream for me. Reading through the cottage description, I thought at first, oh, but that's a lot of dos and don`ts. But basically it's about a normal approach (no dog on the 1st floor and on the sofas, do not move the furniture or put it back at the end ...). Pitlochry with all its shops and cafes and restaurants is 10 minutes away by car, the first beautiful walk is 5 minutes. We were able to fill the week with walks and small tours wonderful, without more than 30 minutes to go somewhere. Information material is sufficiently available. And in the evening we were all alone in this heavenly silence in front of the open fireplace. The shower is ok, the bed more comfortable than my home! I can only recommend the house! Hide
