Charming first-floor apartment suitable for a couple and a child, situated above a tea room in the pretty town of New Quay on the West Wales coast, just a short walk from the town’s two beaches.

This property is located in the town of New Quay, a pretty seaside town on the West Wales coast. A quieter alternative to some of the bigger resorts such as Aberystwyth, New Quay is a quaint town where colourful Georgian houses line the seafront and visitors have a choice of two splendid beaches, both of which offer plenty of sandy space to relax and play. There is a good choice of shops, cafes, and restaurants in the town, as well as several interesting attractions, including dolphin spotting boat trips, a marine centre, and the Dylan Thomas Trail which allows visitors to follow in the footsteps of Wales’ best-loved poet who once lived in the town.

Guests approach this property via a set of stairs which lead from the pavement outside the lovely tea room which occupies the ground floor of the building. They cross the decked veranda before coming to the front door which opens directly into the open-plan living area, with the kitchen area to the right. Guests will easily find everything they will need here, including a Range-style double oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. Moving past the kitchen to the lounge area, there are two comfortable sofas from which to enjoy the TV/DVD. The bedroom lies at the far end of the house, and is an attractive double room with its own TV, which offers stunning sea views. The washing machine is kept in a bedroom cupboard, and there is also a single cabin bed which can be used to accommodate a child, and is a fun place to sleep with porthole windows allowing anyone sleeping there to peer across to the beach. A wonderful way to wake up! There is also a shower room which has a shower-over-bath and WC.

Outside, there is a wide decked veranda immediately outside the front door of the property, enjoying sea views from its elevated position. The owners have thoughtfully provided garden furniture, making it easy to enjoy alfresco drinks on a sunny afternoon, or as the sun goes down. There is roadside parking close to the property, or car parks are available locally.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

  • 1 double bedroom with additional single cabin bed suitable for a child
  • Bathroom with shower-over-bath and WC
  • TV/DVD, plus additional TV in the bedroom
  • Wi-Fi included
  • Oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine

A lovely 1st floor apartment which is very clean and decced out to resemble a Bosun's abode aboard ship. The place is well stocked with the equipment you need to make your stay comfortable. The ladlady is very friendly and approachable and very knowlegable about where to go. The place itself is very nice with a lovely clean and Sandy beach suitableRead more for dogs. The water is clear and water sports and boat trips are available...Just mind the Jelly fish. I highly recommend this cottage ***** Hide

Lovely place to stay. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and superb location. Very dog friendly with a local pub, Seahorse Inn, and restaurant, Rossinis, which both welcome dogs and are excellent.

The cottage has all you need fora good weekend away. It is centrally positioned and across the road from the Black Lion, need I say more. Good food and good beer served here. The cottage is warm and cosy with a great shower and bath. Double bed is clean and comfortable and there is good storage space in the bedroom. Plenty of quality towels. KitcheRead moren has more than enough utensils and kitchen equipment although a bread bin would be welcome. The cooker is superb. Glyn and Joy are good hosts. Hide

My husband and I with our little dog spent four nights at Bosun's Loft and loved every minute. I celebrated a special birthday whilst there and Glyn and Joy left a birthday card for me...very thoughtful of them. I would highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to get away from the stress of everyday living. Hopefully we will be back....

New Quay delightful. Recommend it for a quiet, out of season break. Plenty of places to eat and some beautiful hidden coves to visit. Dolphins obligingly appeared in the harbour too!
