Property code: BX047

A quaint beautifully presented Grade II Listed fisherman’s cottage sitting just metres from the bustling harbour, with two separate decked terraces allowing guests to enjoy al fresco dining in the sun.

The harbourside town of Brixham is a busy working port, steeped in history, with a thriving arts scene and an excellent range of independent shops and galleries. Step outside the front door and within moments, you are within easy reach of the many bars, cafes and restaurants serving an array of freshly caught seasonal fish and seafood. Explore the fascinating replica of the Golden Hind, Sir Francis Drake’s ship; board a boat to discover the stunning scenery; or walk along the coastal path in search of sheltered coves with jaw-dropping views along the way.

The property is a delightful home where family and friends can enjoy a special coastal holiday together. Light and airy throughout, the tranquil nature of this property is wonderfully inviting after a day spent exploring your beautiful surroundings. The bright and breezy lounge diner welcomes you to cosy up on the deep leather sofa in front of the living flame gas fire with a book, before switching on the Smart TV/DVD. Rummage through the well stocked games cupboard to choose your after dinner entertainment before heading off to rustle up a meal. The contemporary well designed kitchen offers a calm space to cook accompanied by music on the DAB radio, whilst enjoying a glass of complimentary wine. There is a breakfast bar, double oven and hob, microwave oven, fridge freezer, kettle and toaster. Housed in the utility cupboard you will find a washing machine, iron and ironing board. Dine in style by the window, recalling the day's activities or watching the world go by. Climb the steep cottage style stairs to reach the spacious, calming king-size bedroom with a DAB radio, hair dryer, dressing table, bedside tables, tall boy chest of drawers and wardrobe. Enjoy a soak in the double-ended bath with the complimentary toiletries, in the large luxury bathroom with a separate walk-in shower. Ascend a final set of stairs to reach the twin and bunk rooms, both restful spaces with plenty of storage space, decorated in an understated style with sea peeps.

For sunny tipples and morning coffees, two separate private decked terrace areas are the perfect places to unwind and soak up the sun. Take care on the shared steep stone steps leading to these lovely areas. Please note that children should be supervised when using the steps. Take in the charming views of the town, while in the comfort of the garden. There is free roadside parking available on nearby roads. Alternatively you can purchase a parking permit online from Torbay Council, to be used in the nearby Oxen Cove car park, which is 5-10 minute level walk along the harbour from the cottage.

A beautiful property, ideally situated to get about. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and COVID safe. An amazing welcome hamper was a lovely thought and greatly appreciated. Apart from the really steep stairs, couldnt fault it and would recommend a staycation here!
