Set between the adventure training mecca of Betws-y-Coed and the craft centric town of Ruthin, this cosy Welsh property offers peace and respite within a beautifully curated interior, perfect for couples.  Listen to the neighboring sheep or enjoy the wildlife walks right on the door step. Brenig Lake is 15 minutes from the cottage. There is a scenic cycling ride around the Brenig reservoir. The Brenig Trail circumnavigates Llyn Brenig suitable for both family cycling and for walking at 9.5 miles (15 km) long. Also the Llyn Brenig Reservoir & Visitor Centre with a cafe overlooking the lake. Surf Snowdonia - A perfect fresh-water lagoon, 300 metres long, set in the lush, green Conwy Valley in the lee of the Snowdonia mountains.

The market town of Ruthin is well worth a visit for local crafts and Betws-y-Coed, as well as having a number of adventure training shops, also has  a couple of galleries within the town. Nearby attractions include some activity Parks including Surf Snowdonia with a wave garden surf lagoon. The Zip World Caverns has one of the longest zip wires in Europe and Bounce Below, is a trampoline park set in an underground cavern. For those looking for a spot of fine dining, Tyddyn Llan is one of Wales finest restaurants. There are walks from the door of the cottage, or set off into the Snowdonia National Park to explore Wales largest peak, Mount Snowdon.

The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: super-king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made into a twin on request) and 1 king-size with en-suite shower and WC. Bathroom: with bath, shower and WC. Lounge: with wood burner (first two baskets of logs included), TV, DVD and radio. Kitchen: with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Utility room: with washing machine and sink. If you need the use of a tumble drier please speak to the owner. There is a clothes horse in the cottage and washing line outside.  Outside: enclosed garden with comfortable seating and BBQ. Amenities: off-road parking for two cars. Bed linen, towels, central heating and Wi-Fi included (use restricted to email and browsing). 1 well-behaved dog welcome - this must be registered and paid for at the time of booking.

Additional info: 4 night mid-week stay is charged at the same rate as 3 night weekend stay throughout January.

Outside tap available for washing off muddy paws. Bike storage available. Traditional board games provided.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

SLEEPS 2 - 4 : Two bedrooms, a super king-size bedroom, which can be converted in to a twin room and a king-size en-suite bedroom. Bedding and beautiful Welsh blankets included.

COOKING & EATING : Farmhouse kitchen, with slate floors, electric cooker, hob, dining table, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher. Separate utility area, with washing machine, tumble dryer, additional sink. Highchair available on request.

RELAXING : Cosy sitting room with large sofa, chaise longue and great views across the valley from the French windows. Central heating, plus wood burning stove with two baskets of logs. Wi-Fi, TV, DVD, Retro Roberts Radio, Bluetooth Speaker, local map and holiday reads, plus board games.

OUTSIDE : Large enclosed, private garden with four comfy armchairs, bbq and pretty views. Off road parking for two cars, bike storage.

KEEPING CLEAN : A large family bathroom with clawfoot bath, plus separate shower, basin and loo. An en-suite shower room, with basin and loo. Hand soap & lotion, plus towels included. Outside tap for washing off muddy boots and paws. Washing machine within the utility space.  If you need the use of a tumble drier please speak to the owner. There is a clothes horse in the cottage and washing line for the sunny days.

PETS : One well behaved dog is very welcome at Cappele Cottage - Dogs must be registered and paid for at the time of booking

CHILDREN :  Children aged 12+ welcome

TECH : The cottage wi-fi is via satellite with the limitations of rural broadband, a monthly data cap makes it suitable for web browsing and emails, but we ask that you do not stream/download large amounts of data. Mobile reception at the cottage is patchy.

Capelle Cottage is set within a fantastic landscape, peacefully by itself, nestled by the sheep and cows of neighbouring farms; great fun to watch the sheep dogs at work! The cottage is certainly 'off the beaten track' and perfect for those who wish for peace and silence. The best walks are a short car journey away - spectacular lake and reservoir circuits, immensely varied trails across moorland and through ancient woods. This was our second visit in a few months. The cottage is in such a beautiful position, overlooking the valley. It doesnt matter about the weather, you can just watch it unfold from the French windows. A great place to visit coasts, mountains and forests from. A very special place.
