Despite mixed weather, we spent a very happy holiday at Chancery Cottage. Mr & Mrs Bumford were attentive hosts and provided not only a delicious chocolate cake but an apple crumble and a box of sheep nuts so we could hand-feed the Texels. The oak furniture was good and the equipment was excellent. We all slept well and were sorry to leave.

A very convenient cottage for 4 or 5 people - 1 double, 1 twin and 1 single bedrooms. Well furnished and equipped, wooden floors downstairs are a great idea, and we loved the "sheep" in the living room! Small garden with picnic table, washing line, and good view over the valley. Pity that the footpath across the road to the coast couldn't be found.

Mrs Bumford was very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed the barbecue and found the beds and all the rooms comfortable. The chief problem is that the cottage is literally ON the main road, which is very busy from early to late. The noise is screened by triple glazing in the bedrooms, but none of them look out on the fine view eastwards. Also you cannRead moreot take a walk from the cottage, since there is enclosed farmland on one side and the narrow, busy, fast road with no pavements on the other. Hide

The owners make your stay very enjoyable. The cottage wants for nothing they have thought of practically everything you need and more to have a good holiday.
