This pretty lodge nestles in a small complex of similar properties conveniently close to Dartmoor National Park, offers an array of creature comforts including a luxurious hot-tub, and is a lovely retreat for families or couples alike.

This property is located close to the North-Western edge of Dartmoor National Park, just three miles from the town of Okehampton, where there are a number of shops, takeaways, and supermarkets, as well as specialist shops which cater for Dartmoor’s walkers, cyclists, and climbers. Dartmoor itself offers many miles of scenic walks for all abilities, ranging from easy strolls through to challenging hikes and climbs. With great transport links nearby you will also be within a short drive of the stunning cathedral city of Exeter and within an easy drive of popular tourist destinations of the south coast and the unspoilt villages along the northern coastline. Other attractions within easy reach include Lydford Gorge, Roadford Lake, Okehampton Castle, the Miniature Pony Centre, Crealy Adventure Park and numerous National Trust properties.

This property offers comfortable accommodation for four guests and is accessed via a set of external stairs to the front door. Venture inside and through to the beautiful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which offers fabulous feature floor to ceiling windows. Here sit back and relax amongst the rich, soft furnishings and watch your favourite program on the TV or just enjoy an evening under the stars with the flame-effect electric fire glowing in the background. Keen cooks will enjoy the brilliantly appointed kitchen area which boasts a great range of appliances including an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freeze and dishwasher. There is also a washer/dryer located in a separate utility cupboard which also provides handy storage space. After a long day, head down the hall where you will find the two bedrooms, the master bedroom is a double room which benefits from an en-suite shower room with WC and a TV, whilst the second bedroom is a cosy twin room. Located next to this and completing the offering inside the property is a lovely contemporary bathroom with a shower over bath and WC.

Venture outside onto the decked terrace at the front of the property where you can enjoy alfresco dining and drinks when the weather permits, or head to the rear decked area where you will find the wonderfully relaxing and private sunken hot tub which has the added luxury of an inbuilt iPod dock and speakers. Guests are also able to make use of the inn’s grounds, located next door, which includes a fun children’s play area, and there is also a sauna inside the inn which guests have access to (at an additional charge). Private off-road parking for two cars is also provided.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
