Charming listed barn conversion located next to the owners’ organic farm in the rural village of Leigh in North Dorset, enjoying beautiful countryside views.

The property is located just five miles from the historic market town of Sherborne where you can spend an interesting day exploring its two castles, the historic Abbey, as well as its range of shops and choice of restaurants and pubs. Of course, Dorset is well-known for its breathtaking Jurassic Coast, which lies just thirty miles south of the property, offering a wealth of sweeping beaches, clifftop walks along the South West Coast Path and opportunities to try out a range of watersports. Other places of interest in the area include the Haynes Motor Museum, the Fleet Air Arm Museum, and the Cerne Abbas Giant.

Stepping into the ground floor of this attractive semi-detached barn conversion property, you will find yourself in the inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with its beamed ceiling and homely atmosphere. Two sofas provide guests with a comfortable spot in which to relax with a book, or enjoy a film on the TV/DVD. The dining table comfortably seats four, behind which the kitchen area running along one side of the room is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, both with sloping ceilings, and therefore some reduced head-height. The first of these is a double room which benefits from its own TV, whilst the second is a pleasant twin room. The shower room with its shower and WC is also located on the first floor.

Heading outside, the property has a delightful enclosed patio garden with a table and chairs from which you can enjoy views over the surrounding fields. Guests are also able to make use of a shared games room which offers a snooker table, dartboard, and a table football table. The property is located on a non-working part of the owners’ organic farm, but they are always happy to show guests around and introduce them to the resident sheep and chickens. There is secure bike storage available and parking is available for two cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely spot and lovely place to stay, quiet and tranquil. Perfect getaway for a pm it of peace and quiet. Loved the Chetnole Inn, 30 minute walk away. Didn't get to try Chrissie's kitchen goods this time, but perhaps on our return. The owner was lovely, welcoming and friendly. All in all a delightful stay.

This was a cosy cottage with a lovely, private, little garden looking out across the fields. We received a warm welcome from the owner and were very pleased with the layout of the accommodation and the amount of equipment provided. Make sure to try a Dorset Apple Cake from Chrissie's Kitchen opposite Church Farm!

The ultimate peaceful location in the rolling hills of Dorset. Sheep grazing outside, birds building nests in the walls outside and a lovely pond right down at the end of the meadow. Chris, who's organic dairy farm this is, is delightful, helpful and passionate about the farm and countryside. We were here with the kids for 6 days and loved every biRead moret of it; seeing lots of local sights as well as going to the beach. Hide

We had a fantastic stay at The Creamery. Even the arrival of Storm Dennis couldn't dampen our spirits! Chris the owner was in touch soon after our arrival offering help or advice. The cottage was immaculate, beautifully decorated and furnished. The added bonus of a wonderful power shower made all the difference at the end of a freezing cold day!

We arrived and were amazed that the photos didnt do the cottage justice. It was beautifully designed and laid out. They have thought about everything. Dont think any expense was spared when designed and built. Would recommend and also love to go again. The Creamery, very tranquil and picturesque.
