This whitewashed former coastguard’s cottage has been decorated to create a simple vintage style interior that directs the eye to the breath taking beach view outside.
Located directly behind the sea wall at Camber Sands beach, the cottage looks out to miles of soft golden sand with plenty of swimming areas and a vast expanse of dunes waiting to be explored. The local area offers something for everyone including kite surfing, wind surfing, horse riding, fishing and bird watching at the wildlife havens at Dungeness and Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. The popular medieval town of Rye is just three miles away, which boasts pretty tearooms, restaurants and its own castle museum and medieval gardens, where children will enjoy the Captain Pugwash treasure hunt. Alternatively, for those looking to venture further afield there are many vineyards, castles and gardens to explore.
You are welcomed into this former coastguard’s cottage via the main door which leads into the light and airy kitchen. The kitchen has been fitted with stylish open shelving and here you will find an electric Aga, electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. A door leads through to the pretty dining room with dining for six at the table and then through a further door into a cosy lounge which is the perfect place to curl up with a good book in front of the open fire or catch up on your favourite TV programmes on the TV. Stairs from the lounge lead down to the lower ground floor where there is a double bedroom. A further set of stairs from the dining room lead up to the first floor where there are two bedrooms, a double with views across to Dungeness and a double with sweeping views around the Rye Bay. The property is completed with a stylish shower room with shower and WC.
To the front of the cottage, the pretty garden provides the perfect spot for al fresco dining at the table and chairs, or to sit and soak up the evening sunshine and admire the sunsets. A gate from the garden leads to the private parking for two cars and a set of steps directly down onto the soft sandy beach.
