Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within a stone’s throw of the famous Jurassic Coast, this cottage will appeal to wildlife-watchers, nature-lovers and sports enthusiasts. Pick up one of the many country walks from the village or venture a little further away. Of course, a visit to Durdle Door (3 miles) and Lulworth Cove (3.5 miles) is a must, both of which can be enjoyed from the cliff paths, beach or water. An 11-mile drive away, Weymouth offers shops, bistros and activities galore. To enjoy a new perspective of the Dorset coast, hop on a day boat from the Kings Arms’ steps. You may even see some dolphins if you are lucky.
Walk through the side gate and head across the rear garden peppered with flowers. Once inside the property, you are immediately met by the fantastic kitchen with dining table. The true heart of the home, the kitchen’s ceiling is traced by open beams and a Rayburn sits proudly in a little nook, blasting out heat in the winter. A well-appointed space, you will love spending time in here whether it’s over tea and toast or to prepare a meal for the whole family. Everything you could need for your stay is provided, including an oven and hob, a fridge, an under counter freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave, a kettle and more. Play some tunes on the radio and enjoy the homely feel. Stepping out of the kitchen and into a small hallway, you can find a downstairs bathroom to your right with a shower and WC. Ahead, there is the lounge. A spacious room, the lounge has two sofas and an armchair. Sit back and turn on the TV or let your gaze drift to the open fire, a dreamy addition for winter nights. From the lounge, a set of steep, cottage-style stairs with a rope handrail leads you up to one of the property’s bedrooms: a double bedroom that has access to the upstairs bathroom. The bathroom has two doors, the second one of which leads down onto another landing via two steps. Here, there are two more bedrooms, one with twin beds and another with bunk beds for two. These bedrooms are also accessible via a second, similarly styled staircase from the kitchen.
