This traditional stone cottage, set in a picturesque courtyard with nine other properties, is a perfect base for exploring North Devon and beyond.

Westward Ho! is a delightful and friendly Victorian coastal resort offering a wide range of attractions, including a beautiful beach, the Royal North Devon Golf Club, the North Devon Surf School, tennis courts, National Trust cliff-top walks and Northam Burrows Country Park. The charming market town of Bideford is two miles away and boasts a selection of shops and a pannier market. You could take a day trip to Lundy Island on the MS Oldenburg, walk or cycle along the Tarka Trail, or enjoy visits to Tapeley Park and Gardens, The Big Sheep, The Milky Way Adventure Park, RHS Rosemoor Gardens or simply enjoy the gorgeous local beaches and countryside.

On entering this lovely cottage, you will find yourself in the welcoming and attractive lounge where you can relax with the TV/DVD. Heading into the kitchen/diner you can find everything you may need including electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge. The dining area is ideally situated whether you’re enjoying a snack or a special meal. Heading upstairs, there are to bedrooms: one double and one twin. There is also a bathroom, complete with shower over the bath and WC.

Stepping back outside the front door you will find a small private enclosed gravel area with picket fence surrounding. Or you can relax in the shared BBQ area with picnic tables and garden chairs a short walk from the cottage.

The cottage is part of a complex of properties which share the outdoor 40ft swimming pool with seating, which is heated through the main summer months (from the last May Bank Holiday week until the 1st September only). There is also a communal children’s play area, with swings, slides, football goal posts and swing ball set. (bats and football provided) Car parking space is allocated, and secure storage is available for bikes and surfboards etc. There is also a shared utility room with coin operated commercial washing machines and tumble dryer. Surrounding the complex are 15 acres of working farmland with access to public footpaths where you can walk the dog (on lead due to cattle) or just simply admire the stunning countryside and coastline.

Please note: Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times while on site.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The laundry facilities are open, but will remain locked and guests will be given access after requesting the key from the owner who will disinfect once guests are finished.

A very comfortable cottage, lovely helpful owners and great to have access to the pool. Only a short distance from Westward Ho beach.

Beautiful clean cottage in the perfect quiet spot. Well equipped with everything we needed. Cottage has had come work to improve since the photos on here show which is a new kitchen, sofa and more modern decoration and array of decorative items etc- really nicely done. Westward beach doesnt allow dogs at the nice end, only at the country park end wRead morehich is not accessible to those with limited mobility. Instow, Saunton Sands and Bude were perfect. Nice little cottage, clean but basic. great to have access to the pool. Had a lovely weekend, maybe wouldnt have stayed longer than 2 nights here.

This property is in a peaceful, tranquil location but within easy access of Westward Ho! A quaint, well equipped, comfortable place to enjoy a much needed break. The swimming pool is a welcomed bonus which is an ideal way to end your day with a relaxing swim. Would thoroughly recommend this property.
