Set near the Dorset/Hampshire border and a short trip from Cranborne Chase, there are many scenic walking and cycling routes that run directly from the property, taking in the breath-taking views on offer in this picturesque spot. Take a trip to the market towns of Wimborne or Ringwood, ideal for an afternoon spent browsing. The beautiful beaches of Bournemouth and Poole are also accessible by car from here.

On entering the detached barn originally built in 1680, you are met by a stunning open-plan living area incorporating the kitchen/diner/lounge with full height vaulted ceiling. Bi-fold doors to the rear flood the room with light and a striking circular fireplace with wood burner will instantly make you want to linger a while. This sociable space is cleverly divided and is the perfect place to unwind after a day spent exploring, in the lounge area you can enjoy relaxed evenings in and watch a film on the Smart TV. The stylish kitchen area is well-equipped with a double electric oven and induction hob, American style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, fresh ground coffee machine and washer/dryer. There is also a separate WC. Through the lounge area you will find a double bedroom with en-suite shower and WC and a king-size bedroom with wet room style shower set into the corner of the room and a separate WC. The first of two staircases, this one a spiral, leads you up to the first floor from the kitchen area. Here you will find an impressive king-size bedroom with vaulted ceiling, views over the lounge and an en-suite shower and WC. A second staircase rises from the lounge area to a mezzanine with snug, views over the lounge, a Juliet balcony and a comfy sofa this is the perfect spot to relax with a good book. Leading on from here is a super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made up as a twin on request) with a Juliet balcony and en-suite shower and WC.

Heading outside you will find an enclosed garden with a patio area with a great outdoor kitchen that includes a 2 ring hob, a sink and plenty of worktop space, garden furniture, charcoal BBQ and artificial lawn. Located directly outside of the spacious living area, it’s the perfect spot for enjoying al fresco dining.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The house was bright, airy, spacious and well kitted out. A hot tub would be a great addition to the outdoor space. Friendly, helpful owners. A lovely last minute find!

We spent a lovely 2 weeks at Big Barn (5 Adults and 2 dogs) we were welcomed by Helen & Richard who went out of their way to help us throughout our stay and were on hand when needed .We enjoyed the outside kitchen and dining area and made good use of it in the lovely weather. Even though the weather was awful the house made up for it. Spacious, modern and comfortable, with all the amenities required for a holiday stay. The host was there to welcome us and to hand over the key when we arrived. Not far from two really nice pubs / restaurants - The Old Inn & The Three Legged Cross. The venue is outstanding, the upstairs bedrooms are very hot at night, black out blinds would help. We stayed upstairs as the comfiest beds. Kitchen is a lovely layout and the lounge is comfortable too. Very home from home feel. The location is about half hour to the New Forest and an hour to the coast by Weymouth. The barn was great for us, lots of social space and a well equipped kitchen. It was very clean (other than the flies!) and we enjoyed the outdoor space as much as the indoor space. For driving it is conveniently located to lots of lovely villages and restaurants. There are plenty of take out who deliver. There is a short walk down a pretty fast roaRead mored before you can get to the public walks through the woods, and the road got busy in the mornings, but not early enough to wake us. The property was preseneted to a high standard. Having 3 teenage boys, the fact that all bedroom have an ensuite was fantastic. The raised balcony area was nice to sit and relax. In addation the outdoor area was well maintained, safe and secure for children and dogs. The kitchen was well equiped, you could have baked a cake if you had wished. Stunning modern barn with 4 well appointed bedrooms, each with its own en-suite. We loved the wood burner which gave the large lounge area a cosy feel. Lovely stunning cottage, all very modern & also very clean. Will be better once the building work at the back is completed as it can be a bit noisy & the builders park outside this cottage & make it a bit difficult to get out

This property is fabulous, we spent a week here at Christmas and it did not disappoint. A beautiful space with the highest level of decor and furnishings, the kitchen is a brilliantly appointed, open plan social space for cooking and entertaining with family and friends.

The barn was lovely. It was clean, warm and comfortable. We were four generations ranging from 2 to 90 with a dog and the house and garden were ideal. The owners were very welcoming with the wood burner alight on arrival. Overall a lovely week was had by all and we would highly recommend the property. A gem.

The house is furnished to a very high standard. It was immaculate when we arrived. It is a magnificent design and is in real life exactly as the photographs portray.
