Tucked back from the road heading through the hamlet of Wigbeth, this contemporary barn conversion was completed in 2019 and is ideally placed for exploring the local area. With easy access to both Hampshire and Dorset and a short distance from Cranborne Chase, there are fabulous walking and cycling routes nearby, with stunning views over picturesque countryside. For a spot of retail therapy and essential supplies head to the market towns of Wimborne and Ringwood. There is no shortage of things to do here with Badbury Rings, Moors Valley Country Park and the New Forest National Park all within easy reach. The sandy beaches of Bournemouth and Poole are also accessible by car.

A path leads to the detached barn from the parking area. Once inside you are met by a stunning open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with full height vaulted ceiling. Picture windows to the rear flood the room with light and a fireplace with wood burner will instantly make you want to linger a while. This inviting space is cleverly divided and is the perfect place to unwind after a day spent exploring as it has a Smart TV. The stylish kitchen area is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Leading on from here you will find an impressive king-size bedroom with a free-standing bath and separate walk-in shower set into the room. A door leads to an en-suite WC.

Heading outside you will find an enclosed garden with a covered wood fired hot tub, patio area, furniture, charcoal BBQ and artificial lawn. Located directly outside of the lounge/kitchen/diner, it’s the perfect spot for enjoying a meal outdoors. There is dedicated on site, off road parking for two cars 20 meters from the front door.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

I booked this cottage last minute for my partners birthday and we were both extremely impressed with not only the design of the accommodation but also the effort that the owners went to, to make sure we were settled and happy. The cottage is finished to a very high standard and really was one of the most luxurious places we have stayed. The garden Read moreis stunning and we spent most of our time relaxing in it. We had a wonderful stay at Pig Cottage with our two dogs, great location for exploring and access to the town but far enough out to be peaceful. The welcoming touches Helen provided on arrival were very thoughtful and any requests were swiftly seen too. Highly recommend

A beautifully modern cottage perfect for a peaceful getaway. A great location to explore Dorset. Great facilities including wood burner, a lovely bath and a hot tub to keep you warm and relaxed.

Pig Cottage did not disappoint! We were greeted by owner who showed us round and we were blown away with the place! My husband and I have 3 kids and wanted somewhere to get away from it all and relax and Pig Cottage was perfect. The bath was so romantic as was the hot tub. Will definitely be going back!!

This cottage was amazing for our first ever holiday together, was very modern with a old fashioned twist. The hot tub, log fire, and bathtub made it a cosy and relaxed stay! I loved the special touch that they had left for us upon arrival (biscuits and prosecco). We will definitely be coming back!

We enjoyed visiting Bournemouth beach, the country park and lulworth cove, then coming back to hot chocolate in front of the fire to warm up. Had an absolutely wonderful time at the cottage; it's a stunning building renovated to a beautiful standard and only wish we could've stayed longer.
