Kilbirnie Loch, a mile from the town is popular for water sports or fishing and has a wide range of wildlife especially birds to see. Take a trip to Ardrossan on the west coast, 17 miles away, where you can spend the day on the sandy beach, or explore the town and its castle, which is said to be haunted by William Wallace himself. Those craving some city-action will be pleased to find Glasgow just 20 miles from the house, so it's an easy trip for a bit of retail therapy, a spot of culture at the museums and galleries, or even a night out with dinner and a show.

The cottage is perfect for two people. However, although the kitchen is very well equipped it is a bit snug when two people are in there. The garden was ideal for our dog, and is very secure. The owners are lovely people and do there best to make sure that everything is perfect, including providing treats for the guests and also their dog.

We simply could not fault the Wee Hoose, it is a fantastic property and in such a beautiful setting. Peter & Jane were very welcoming hosts. Excellent area for exploring, so many different places to get to. We will hopefully be returning in the future.
