One of two barn conversion properties sleeping four guests, enjoying a tranquil hillside location in the Mid-Wales countryside, overlooked by the majestic Cambrian mountains, close to the picturesque Elan Valley. The perfect destination for keen cyclists, walkers and those who love to explore.

This property enjoys a quiet rural location in the mid-Wales countryside, with the stunning backdrop of the Cambrian Mountains. The location is ideal for those who like spending time outdoors, enjoying the simple pleasures of scenic country walks, and relaxing bike rides. The area surrounding the property is simply stunning, with the Elan Valley’s reservoirs and dams, the rugged beauty of the Brecon Beacons, the stunning Wye Valley and the wildlife-rich Bwlch Nant Yr Arian, home to a huge number of red kites, which are fed daily by the lake. The town of Rhayader is just a short distance from the property, not only offering a range of shops and eateries, but is also the home of Welsh Royal Crystal and its interesting visitor centre. The town of Llanidloes is only a short drive away too. The property is ideally located close to National cycle routes, as well as many popular walks. For those in the area for wedding celebrations, this property is within close proximity of many local wedding venues.

On arrival at this property, guests first come to the open-plan lounge/diner, a welcoming room with a lovely cosy feel to it, where guests will find a dining table, comfortable sofa seating, a TV, and DVD. The kitchen, next to the lounge/diner, is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washing machine. The shower room with its shower and WC is also located on the ground floor, whilst the properties two bedrooms can be found upstairs. The first of these is a restful king-size room with a beamed ceiling, whilst the second bedroom is a spacious, characterful twin room (which can be made as a super-king-size if requested at time of booking). Guests should be aware that the bedrooms both have sloping ceilings, and, therefore, some reduced head-height.

Outside, the property enjoys an enclosed lawn with garden furniture, offering attractive views over the surrounding countryside from the provided table and chairs.  , as well as bike storage for those who need it.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Made very welcome by hosts Grace and Adrian. A vey thoughtful welcoming pack including milk, bara brith, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits on arrival. Cottage very clean, well equipped and nicely furnished. Stunning area. Will definitely go back.

Faultless, with all the information you could wish for. Games, DVDs and a small selection of books - and a tasty welcome of bara brith, biscuits, tea, coffee and milk. Beautiful spring water from their own borehole a rare treat!

We would highly recommend this cottage. We were warmly welcomed by our hostess and she had provided milk which was great as it was late, wed had a long drive and needed a drink. She took care to show us where everything was and to tell us about places of interest. The beds were very comfortable and the whole place was spotlessly clean and it was spRead moreacious. We had two dogs with us who settled in straightaway and a stair gate was put up which was brilliant. The kitchen was very well equipped . Hide

I thought it was a very comfortable and well equipped cottage in a really beautiful location. The hosts were great and Grace has created a lively garden.
