This rural retreat is perfect for anyone wishing to embrace the peace of the countryside. Set in traditional Cornish farmland and showcasing the backdrop of Bodmin Moor, this is a beautiful holiday home.

This newly built rural retreat, oozing character, offers high levels of light, comfort and insulation providing a cosy or cool home. Nearby are the beautiful villages of Minions and Pensilva, with local inns and farm shops. The nearest town is the lovely Cornish market town of Liskeard which has all the amenities one could ask for. To the north lies Bodmin Moor which has many fantastic walks and views over the old mining engine houses that symbolise Cornwall’s proud past. To the south is the coast with the delightful villages of Looe and Polperro remaining popular with tourists. Many sheltered coves and harbours can be found along the coastal walks. Other attractions nearby include the Eden Project, the Adrenalin Quarry, Kart World, Siblyback Segway Adventure, the Monkey Sanctuary and, for cyclists, Cardinham Woods and only a reasonable drive from Plymouth with its shops, nightlife, theatres and aquarium.

On entering this gorgeous property step into the stylish farmhouse kitchen which is fully equipped with everything you are likely to need during your holiday including gas oven and hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge, freezer and dishwasher also benefiting from a useful additional dining area if you’re after a quick snack or breakfast. From one side of the kitchen leads to the utility room with a downstairs shower, WC and washing machine.The other side of the kitchen is the dining room which is perfect for enjoying a big meal with views over the garden and fields. Leading on from here, the lounge provides the perfect spot to relax and unwind; enjoy a movie on the Smart TV after a long day of exploring with your four legged friends. Open up the French doors to the garden and enjoy a BBQ in the Summer or light the woodburner and curl up with a good book on those cooler evenings. Outside you will also discover a private games room complete with pool table, dart board, TV, DVD player and seating. Going upstairs you will find three comfortable and bright bedrooms: one king-size with TV, which also benefits from an en-suite shower and WC, another king-size and one twin. There is also a bathroom, complete with shower over bath and WC.

Heading outside you will find a patio area complete with firepit/BBQ and seating, making it a perfect place to unwind. There is also a handy dog kennel and run located opposite the property near the games room, perfect for muddy dogs. Dogs are welcome to be left in this area if required. A dog walking field is located a short walk from the property, leading to footpaths to Upton Cross, Rilla Mill and Bodmin Moor. The area surrounding the property can be enclosed by shutting the gates. There is plenty of off-road parking available. Storage for bikes and surfboards is also available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Clean, comfy home nestled in the countryside. Quiet retreat but close enough to local amenities. Lovely to be able to out beloved dogs with us too, fantastic walks through the surrounding villages & fields.

Back for a second year. Loved the tremendous views and friendly dogs. The house is well equipped and comfortable and Claire is very helpful and friendly. A really interesting area with great walks and some excellent pubs.

Cottage is well sited and quiet with all amenities. Log fire was used since the weather was not at it's best. (very cosy). Large kitchen was a bonus for our family get together.

Brilliant location, extremely helpful owner added to a magnificent property which was well above our expectation with everything catered for. Dogs loved it as did everyone else in our party. Great value for money but what price do put on excellence. Lots to see and do around and close to the farmhouse.

Absolutely perfect in everyway. Breath taking veiws, beautiful and comfortable house, Claire was so lovely and welcoming and extremely helpful. We are already booked to go back next summer. You wont be disappointed
