Traditional Fishermen’s Cottage located in the pretty fishing village of Appledore on the North Devon coast - an ideal couple’s retreat within walking distance of the waterfront.

Found on a quiet traffic-free lane in the village of Appledore - an attractive traditional fishing village with a range of shops, eateries, and a pretty quay. For those who want a break from the stresses of daily life, it is easy to spend a week here, enjoying the relaxed pace of village life, sampling the local pubs and restaurants, and perhaps catching the ferry across the estuary to the neighbouring village of Instow with its beach a yacht club. For guests who would like to explore more of the area, there is plenty to see and do within just a few miles of the property, including RHS Rosemoor, the heritage village of Clovelly, The Milky Way Adventure Park, and the two-mile wide stretch of beach at Westward Ho!

This property offers wonderfully cosy accommodation for two, and as soon as guests enter the property, they will immediately feel just how homely and welcoming the cottage feels. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner occupies the whole ground floor of the property and offers comfortable sofa seating, a warming woodburner , and a TV. The kitchen area is tucked away in the corner, and is equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, and washing machine. Steep wooden kite winder stairs lead to the first floor, where there is one bedroom, a double room with exposed beams and its own TV. The well-appointed bathroom offers a relaxing roll-top bath, as well as a separate shower cubicle, and a WC.

Outside, the property benefits from a small secure area which provides a perfect place for storing surfboards, bikes, etc. As is typical in the village, there is no parking attached to the property, but there is off-road parking available nearby, or guests may prefer to use local pay and display car parks.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

this cottage has everything you need for 2 people as it is very small but it is within walking distance for everything but in a nice quiet street. AS with most places om Devon and Cornwall parking can be an issue but we were lucky most days to be able to mpark near.

Lovely presented cottage in a beautiful little town. The weather was gorgeous but because of the location of the cottage in a small walkway we had to have lights on and didnt get any sunlight sure its brilliant in the autumn and winter

Booked this lovely little cottage at the last minute for myself and my wife ,and we were not disappointed. The cottage is in a really quiet location but right in the centre of Appledore. The cottage has everything you need and is a great base to venture out from. We hope to return for another break during the autumn / winter.

Absolutely fantastic cottage for two in a beautiful setting, very well equipped and clean, and beautifully decorated. The owners also very kindly had our lost property posted back to us, which we are so grateful for. Would 100% recommend!

I cannot fault Cobble Cottage - such a lovely spot right in the heart of Appledore. The cottage was very cosy and was very comfortable and fully equipped. I was very pleasantly surprised to find everything I needed and more! Would definitely like to stay again.

Appledore was very nice but thought the property was poor value for money mainly because of where it was placed, the property was rather dark and no sun could shine into the property
