One-of-two semi-detached stone cottages at this quiet rural location within the Brecon Beacons National Park, with scenic walks amongst the Black Mountains right on the doorstep.

This property enjoys a quiet location in the Beacon Beacons village of Pantygelli, close to the Welsh/English border. The location is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits, as there are numerous activity centres in the area offering visitors the chance to have a go at climbing, abseiling, and caving. For a different way to look at life underground, the Big Pit National Coal Museum allows visitors to experience life in the colliery, and explore the role that the coal industry played in the heritage of the area. There is a pub in the village, within walking distance of the property, but for those looking for a winder range of eateries, there can be nowhere better than the town of Abergavenny, which is just two miles from the cottage, and offers a fantastic range of restaurants, cafes, and delis, many of which pride themselves on their use of local produce.

On entering this stylish single-storey property, guests will come first to the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where they will find a dining table, as well as sofa-bed which can be used to accommodate two extra guests. There is a TV/DVD here for guests to enjoy, whilst the kitchen area is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, and a dishwasher. The bright, relaxing bedroom has a king-size zip-and-link bed which can be made up as twin beds on request, and there is also a contemporary shower room with corner shower and WC.

Bi-fold doors from the living area lead out to the property’s attractive patio to the front of the cottage. This enclosed area offers beautiful views to the nearby mountains and has garden furniture making it a great space for enjoying alfresco drinks or meals.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage was perfect. It was cosy and warm and had everything you needed. The welcome pack was great and the hosts were lovely, including the home made welsh Cakes. Would highly recommend

Lovely location Beautiful scenery from doorstep Every need thought of in the cottage Immaculate Nice touches with fresh flowers and bread with homemade welsh cakes, very fresh eggs from the owners chickens It shows Lynn, the owner cares about your comfort and is on hand should you have any queries

Everything about the cottage was excellent for us, it was really well equipped with a nice welcome pack & nothing was to much trouble for Lynn & Andrew. The only fault that we found was the uneven lane from the gate to the cottage, when walking our dog it was a little awkward under foot.

This cottage was absolutely perfect, there were lots of lovely touches that were over and above and we were welcomed by the owner who was on hand but never intrusive.

The best holiday let we have stayed in. There is a large lounge diner/kitchen with bed settee (if required). Large picture windows look down tree lined drive and another window looks out over Skirrid. The bedroom whilst not large has adequate under bed storage, bedside cabinets and door hanging space. Modern shower/ toilet room. Underfloor heating Read moreis supplemented by a calor gas heater and electric radiators in bedroom and toilet. Cannot recommend highly enough, superb. Hide

We would definitely love to go back again Lynn and Andrew were so friendly and made our trip worth every minute. The welcome welsh cake and the hand written card was such a personalised touch and very heart warming. Plus the view is amazing from the cottage and we had all the privacy we needed despite the owners living up the hill they didnt intrudRead moree but were always there when needed. Hide
