Beautiful character cottage surrounded by glorious countryside, which can be booked alone or alongside the adjoining cottage to comfortably sleep large groups for a special celebration.

The location provides stunning views around every corner and a real get away from it all experience. The area boasts charming villages, traditional market towns and miles of footpaths and cycle ways, and yet only slightly further from major industrial cities, meaning this is a wonderfully convenient location. The Peak District is also home to stately homes and castles, including romantic Haddon Hall, imposing Hardwick Hall, stunning Bolsover Castle and of course the jewel in the crown, Chatsworth House. A real foodie hot spot with countless restaurants, country pubs, farm shops and cafes to explore, so you can put your feet up and forget about the washing up. And, don’t forget to stop for some Bakewell pudding.

Step into this gorgeous cottage and let the character surround you, the lounge area is classy, spacious and comfortable, the perfect place to relax with an after-dinner drink or curl up on the sofa with something on the TV. Take time to cook a special meal in the kitchen, which offers an electric oven and hob, American style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and microwave, whilst being able to socialise with guests in the open-plan space. Enjoy the results of your cooking at the nearby dining table. Upstairs on the first floor, the cottage presents three beautiful and individually styled bedrooms, a king-size four-poster, a double four-poster and a super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made up as a twin on request). All bedrooms benefit from an en-suite shower room with shower and WC.

Heading outside there is seating in the shared courtyard which is the heart of the grounds. There are also adjoining buildings which host a variety of themed dinner evenings from time to time. The owner’s beautiful peacocks roam around the grounds, they like to be heard at times and this just adds to the wonderful experience this country retreat provides. There is ample off-road parking available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
