Very pleasant stay at Hare Cottage, homely and cosy. Close to local amenities in Wolsingham and surrounding areas. Nice breakfast at the cafe, would recommend if you want a weekend to just kick back and relax.

A very good place to stay in the Durham area, with beautiful countryside surrounding the farm. You need a car to get anywhere but you probably wouldn't book this sort of holiday without having one. The Farm Shop was good for a breakfast bacon roll or an afternoon cream tea. Lots of good places in the vicinity to visit, including Low Force rapids anRead mored High Force water fall - go to Low Force and walk the path on the left bank up to High Force and back, about 1.5 miles each way. Excellent holiday. Hide

This cottage is ideal for a couple wanting peace and quiet. Ideal for a dog owner as plenty of dog walks. I will have no hesitation of telling my friends and family about it and recommending it to anyone. Lovely cafe on the farm too open most of the day.

We were very pleased with Hare Cottage which had good facilities, was cosy and comfy and had a good walk- in-shower. The games room was a nice surprise and we enjoyed and appreciated games of table tennis and hockey. But please replace the dilapidated table tennis bats!!!!

The cottage was very light, clean and comfortable. It is in a great area, close to many walks, not far from Durham and only 26 miles from the coast. It was a very good pace for a holiday.

As I was traveling alone, I was happy to find that it was quiet but not isolated. The location was perfect as I had previously lived in the area and was visiting friends and old neighbors. The cottage had everything I needed and had a lovely feel.
