Exeter is within easy reach and boasts an impressive array of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars together with its iconic cathedral. Keen walkers will be spoilt for choice at nearby Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks, both of which boast a wealth of flora and fauna and charming rural pubs. Other nearby attractions include Crealy Adventure Park, Wildwood Escot and Woodbury Park. Inside, the accommodation is spacious and open plan with exposed beams and ceiling trusses throughout. The stunning bespoke kitchen features an electric oven and hob, microwave, Rayburn stove, Belfast sink, fridge, freezer and dishwasher, while a separate utility room houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and sink. Dine at the oak table nearby before retreating to the spacious lounge area, where you will find a choice of comfortable seating, a cosy wood burner and TV and DVD to relax with in the evenings. Also on the ground floor, one double bedroom benefits from a TV/DVD and en-suite bathroom with spa bath and hand-held shower, while a further double has access to the ground floor shower room and WC. On the mezzanine level above is one twin bedroom with low beams, with an en-suite shower room and WC, and one single bedroom accessed by a 6ft-high fixed ladder, perfect for a child. Outside there is a charming enclosed garden, complete with a patio, BBQ, lawn and beautiful rural views. Guests are also invited to make use of the leisure facilities available onsite. In an adjacent barn, there is an indoor heated swimming pool, open all year round, together with a sauna (at a small charge) and shower. The shared games rooms contain a pool table, Wendy house, toys and table tennis, and various seasonal farm activities are also available, such as watching the calves being fed. Private off-road parking is available for four cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Other than issues with beds and bedding this is a well equipped cottage , warm and spacious.

A wonderful barn conversion set in idyllic Devon countryside yet within walking distance of a great pub and village shop, this is a fantastic retreat to base yourself to explore south Devon. The conversion is well equipped and the energetic in your party will enjoy climbing the ladder to find the hidden bedroom! Loved the barn. Both GROUND floor living and sleeping accommodation not to be faulted but Mezzanine level NOT suitable for two small children of 2 and 3 so had to be used by adults for which it not designed Height restriction obviously / no mirror apart from a small fixed shaving mirror/ no drawer space / broken shower door replaced by plastic showRead moreer curtain . Loved the area and the farm . Garden not completely enclosed so again need a close eye on small children . Rob very helpful . Hide
