A superb contemporary barn offering stylish accommodation on a 22-acre smallholding with animals in the heart of the Devon countryside, where guests can experience the best country life has to offer.

This impressive property sits in an elevated position overlooking the Devon countryside. Children can help collect eggs and say hi to the cattle, ponies, lambs, pigs and chickens that are all kept on site. The nearby village of Chulmleigh is a delight with its shops, pubs, riding stables and golf course. Further afield are the superb beaches of Saunton and Woolacombe or enjoy the splendour of Dartmoor and Exmoor. For outdoor enthusiasts there are plenty of walking and cycling opportunities, why not hire bikes or take a trip on the pretty Tarka Train Line providing easy access to both Barnstaple and Exeter. Other attractions include The Milky Way, The Big Sheep, RHS Rosemoor Gardens and the Cobbaton Combat Museum.

On entering this property, you notice immediately the spaciousness, to add to the sense of space are the high ceilings. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is great for friends and families to cook, eat and relax together with comfy sofas and a warming wood burner with logs and Smart TV. It’s a great place to stay at any time of the year. The kitchen area is well fitted and has an island unit, with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. A separate WC can also be found on the ground floor with a utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer. This property is furnished and equipped in a contemporary style and has the convenience of underfloor heating on the ground floor. There are three bedrooms to choose from, the first of which a super-king-size with an en-suite shower room with WC which is found on the ground floor. Heading up to the first floor up the stairs you have two further bedrooms, a twin and a super-king-size. A bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC completes the accommodation.

Stepping outside there is a private patio and plenty of open lawn area to enjoy or wander over to the shared BBQ area with climbing tree, scramble net, tree swings, climbing rope, fire pit and hammock, where you can relax on the garden furniture. A walk across the meadow is a fenced wildlife pond with cosy shelter. Please note children must be accompanied. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Just got back from a week away. Feel so relaxed. The cottage is in a perfect location and the views are lovely. Nikki and her family are amazing host's. Their dogs are friendly and enjoyed playing with ours. I will definitely be returning here again. Highly recommended.

A fantastic place to stay - highly recommend a visit. From the moment we stepped into the beautiful property we felt relaxed and at home. Nikki is a great host so friendly and welcoming. First of all, the highlight of my holiday which made it so special are the landlords. Nikki, Paul and little Amelia. They blew away our expectations and took us on another level of happiness. Great place for a few days with friends. Very dog friendly. Welcoming and friendly owners who were very helpful. Sainsburys deliver here. Well equipped kitchen, good wood burner with an endless supply of logs from the farm. Would go again.
