The Herring Masters cottage is in a perfect location in picturesque Old Seahouses with a short walk to the harbour and town centre amenities. The cottage is spacious and cosy with its own parking space for one or two cars which is a rarity in the narrow back streets of the old town. The cottage would benefit from a little updating but for us the loRead morecation is key and we will definitely return. Hide

We were disappointed with this cottage. Our first impressions on arriving were that it was in need of some TLC, with very dirty windows, weeds round edge of worn decking and tired looking front door.

Great location and base for days out. Parking for two cars is ideal as parking is an issue this close to the harbour. Decked area a bonus great sun trap for sitting after days out.

The cottage is in a great location for beaches and the town but it is quite cramped. We are a family of four and I think if there had been 6 of us it would have been an uncomfortable squeeze in the downstairs areas and the kitchen.

The kitchen was a tiny bit small for us all to get round the table. Would have been nice if dishwasher tabs were left to ensure everybody used the dishwasher especially at the moment.

We booked for a week, last minute, bookended by Storms Ciara & Dennis. The cottage was warm, in a quiet location, with good parking and well equipped , including large soft towels and comfortable beds. Good wifi . Location is good : 2minutes walk to the harbour, 3 minutes to the high street, there is a good Co-Op, and bakers and a wide selection ofRead more eateries. Bramble the spaniel enjoyed her morning stroll to look at the sea and of course all the off lead runs on the beaches. Hide

First impressions are very important. When we arrived the cottage was well light and warm. Very welcoming. The location, on a quiet side street, also proved perfect. All within easy reach of the sea and main street. All in all a 5 star location.

Cottage was in a good position, very close to the harbour, but is in need of some tender loving care. There was half used packages of various grocery items left in cupboards. For dog owners, no enclosed space to let dogs out and a good 5-10 minute walk to get to any grass. At 1000 for a week this property is not good value for money, 500 would be aRead more better price. A superb cosy, well appointed cottage in an ideal location for exploring not only Seahouses but also to experience everything else that this stunning area has to offer. The off road parking was a real advantage in the narrow streets. We will certainly be returning.

We have just got home from such a lovely week away. 2 adults and 4 children (plus our little dog) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was fantastic, it was immaculately clean and there was everything you needed at the cottage. We would definitely look forward to staying again

Fantastic location and lovely cottage in the heart of Seahouses would recommend and would come back as off street car parking is an added bonus and hard to find in this location. Pet friendly was a plus for us and was ideal for our old lab. Also lovely little welcome goodies were great too.

We were pleased to have an off-road parking space outside the cottage, which was very cosy and comfortable. The location was ideal, 50 yards from the harbour and 5 minutes walk to the Main Street with lots of shops and cafes. The plentiful hot water and radiators were very welcome on chilly days.
