A stylish three-storey property within walking distance of Appledore’s attractive quayside with myriad of shops, galleries, eateries and pubs, the perfect base to explore North Devon.

Appledore is a real gem and once visited you will want to return, watch the boats come and go, sample the locally landed seafood, or perhaps take a trip across to the neighbouring village of Instow either by car, or in season a small passenger ferry can be found on the quayside. The Little White Town of Bideford, with its narrow streets, antique shops, and choice of eateries is worth a look. For those who really want to get away from day-to-day life, it is possible to take The Oldenburg from Bideford across to Lundy, a three-mile long island in the Bristol Channel, which is a haven for wildlife, including puffins and grey seals.

Guests enter this three-storey property on the second floor, where there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The first bedroom is a super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as a twin on request) whilst the second is a bunk bedroom. The bathroom on this floor has a shower over bath and WC. An open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner occupies the first floor, and to the rear of this room a Juliet balcony offers views down to the patio and out across Appledore and to the river beyond. These views can be enjoyed from the lounge area’s comfortable sofas or alternatively you can watch the TV/DVD. A contemporary dining table separates the lounge area from the kitchen which is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Finally, the ground floor is where guests will find the spacious master suite with its king-size bed and sitting area where you can relax and watch TV or listen to the retro record player and classic 80's collection of vinyl, this room also has a dressing area with ample storage that leads to the en-suite shower room and WC, this area also houses the washing machine. At the rear of this room there is a door that opens onto the property’s enclosed patio area.

Heading outside, there is a small patio area to the front of the property, and to the rear an enclosed garden with patio and seating area which can be accessed from the ground floor as well as the master bedroom. The property has an allocated parking space for 1 car with additional roadside parking nearby, subject to availability.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This is a well thought out cottage. Ideal for families and just a 5 min walk into town makes it an ideal location. 2 decent sized bathrooms . Comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen. Over all a beautiful property

Great location, a short walk down to Appledore Quay - the last part of the walk back to the cottage is uphill, but not for very long. Very clean, comfortable, well equipped accommodation on three levels. Clear narrow views to the tidal river can be seen between the nearby rooftops - great for watching the boats.

Super cottage which is on three floors is close to the village life.

The cottage location is perfect as it's away from the busy quay area of Appledore but within 5 minutes walk of it. Being set on a hillside provides a great view over the rooftops and over towards the estuary. Not being 'pet people' we hadn't considered the fact that a pet friendly property would smell of animals - and it did. Everything you need isRead more provided and, if it wasn't for the smell of animals, we'd happily stay here again. Hide

Lovely property in a great location, just a short walk to all amenities. Well equipped and some well thought out extras which helped make the holiday here perfect. Having an allocated parking space is a great asset in this area. Would definitely recommend.

High Tide Cottage is excellent, fully equipped even to Tea Bags which we were not expecting and a welcome bottle of milk. Accomodation was comfortable and having a parking space was welcome. Wifi excellent. Lovely views of the Esturary.
