Set on a working farm, this barn conversion is well positioned to enjoy your holiday in Cornwall. Located close to Helston on the Lizard.

A rurally positioned converted barn on a 100 acre, working Cornwall cattle and arable farm, this is the perfect countryside getaway to the west. Close to the pretty Helston River and six miles from the town of Helston, it’s also equidistant between Falmouth and Penzance. Best of all it’s on the Lizard Peninsula and within driving distance of the attractions and places of beauty including Mullion Cove, Coverack, the Seal Sanctuary at Gweek, Goonhilly Downs and Lizard Lighthouse, the most southerly point on the British mainland.  The Lizard is almost like a separate country from the rest of the county of Cornwall with its wooded coves, secret rivers, uncommon, geology, unusual cafes and quaint villages. The Lizard also has some great surf spots along the western edge, specifically the characterful Gunwalloe Cove.

This tasteful barn conversion is one of four properties, so for large group bookings this could be the ideal solution. On arrival you will find a welcoming lounge with an electric fire, TV, DVD and French doors that lead out on a patio. The large kitchen/diner comes equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, dishwasher, dining table and a second set of French doors. Also on the ground floor is shower room with WC.  Upstairs a master bedroom with a king-size bed with an en-suite shower room with WC. Nearby is another bedroom with a king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be converted into a twin on request). The third bedroom is a nice twin. Also on the first floor is a bathroom with bath and WC.

Outside, each property has its own private patio with garden furniture and a hot tub. There is also easy access to a shared lawn area. Close by is an exciting games barn that contains table tennis and pool tables, along with young children’s play equipment. There is ample parking outside the cottage.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely cottage that was god value for money. Although remote, it was close to various areas from lands end to lizard point and even over to St Ives. Great for kids with garden and games and kept everyone thoroughly entertained. Hot tub was lovely just bring some fly spray as it is a working farm with cows but never became a big issue with the doorsRead more open. Brilliant holiday. Hide

Foxgloves is a lovely barn to stay in, this was our second visit. Very clean, spacious and comfortable. The addition of the hot tub was a big bonus with my family. We all just loved waking up to the sound of cows mooing and birds singing. Will definitely recommend to friends and hopefully return soon.

We had an absolutely fantastic time and would definitely love to go back. Lovely and spacious, great for the kids and great location for exploring Cornwall. Hot tub was well maintained and a good size. Being covered made it a good option for rainier days. Much less touristy location but still in an accessible location for everything. Absolutely loved the cottage, We spent a week here and highly recommend to anyone thinking about booking here, equipped to a very high standard with everything you could think off, Yes you can hear cows in the morning but then you expect this as its a working farm and didn't bother us at all. Absolutely loved the hot tub which was a godsend after aRead more day of walking , and its even in its own wooden room. One last thing to note this is the first cottage we have stayed in that has 128mb WiFi. Hide

Lovely comfortable cottage remote but not far from anywhere. Spacious with all mod cons and the bonus of a hot-tub for the end of the day. Our dog loved the garden and all the nearby beaches.

We have previously stated in 2015 and 2016, the cottage is still immaculate and spotlessly clean. All white goods are named brands and furnishings are excellent quality. We love staying in places away from crowds and the location is perfect for us whilst the supermarkets of Helston are not really that far away.
