Enter the luxurious property from the front garden, into the hallway and through to the light, bright and spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. The kitchen area is stylish and well-equipped with built in electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee machine and central island with breakfast bar, a large dining table and floor to ceiling patio doors leading out to the rear decked area with seating. The lounge area has a wood burner perfect for cosy nights in, and Smart TV, Blu-ray, plus a selection of DVDs, books and games to enjoy. Leading back through the hallway, you are met with a pretty king-size bedroom with Hypnos bed and a stylish shower room with WC, situated next door. Following on from here is the utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Continuing up the stairs you will find the well-presented twin bedroom with zip-and-link Hypnos beds (which can be made into a king-size on request at time of booking). The area surrounding this property is an absolute haven for nature lovers, with endless stunning views and wildlife in every direction. Lochs and nature reserves abound as well as a wealth of outdoor pursuits.

The Loch of Lintrathen (2.5 miles) is home to an array of breeding songbirds and wildfowl with different varieties to be found year-round. Here you can enjoy walks drinking in the scenery of the nearby taller Angus mountains, and those so inclined might find a good catch fishing for rainbow and brown trout.

Kirriemuir (7 miles) is the famed birthplace of the novelist and Playwright JM Barrie, creator of Peter Pan. The historic village also has an excellent range of amenities and you can visit Glamis Castle while you're here. Take a closer look at some of the older buildings in this village, where you might still see Witches Stane, relics from the village's ancient associations with witchcraft and thought to ward off evil.

Not to be missed is the vibrant city of Dundee (22 miles), with a regenerated waterfront featuring two nautical museums, and where you will find an excellent Science Centre for a lovely day trip. There are also great shopping facilities and an array of fine dining options to choose from.

This is a very well-equipped, modern & comfortable house which has everything you would need for a relaxing holiday. Of particular note is the fantastic enclosed rear garden where our dogs spent a lot of time. Owners are very friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. We would hope to return.

Returned from June last year. House is just as good as we remembered and we were lucky to have a week of glorious weather! Visited Glamis Castle, well worth a visit, cinema in Arbroath - very old with leather couches, steptoes yard, St Cyrus beach, Stonehaven, Stirling, Pitlochry, St Andrews and Dundee. If you would like a lovely Sunday Roast or HiRead moregh tea try Armstrongs on the road to Glamis - don't be put off by its location we went 4 times in a week so must be good! Hide

A beautifully maintained and equipped holiday cottage which had everything we needed which with three generations of the family staying from 17 - 80 years old was quite a feat! The very thoughtfully designed home made for a relaxing break.

At first the location seems a bit remote, however we toured around everyday, the locations is good once you are used to the local envoirnment. Ideal for touring to all the best places. not far from Dundee, St Andrews, Kerrimuir, and Forfor. We did go into Stirling but even that was just over 1 hour. The property is situated in a very quiet area of Angus. There are lovely walks and bike rides all around this area. The property is very spacious and well equipped. A superb property, immaculately maintained. A great base for exploring, whether trips to the coast and Lunan bay, heading into the hills and southern Cairngorms or taking time to visit Perth and Stirling. Some great local walks and RSPB reserves too, and plenty of enclosed garden space for our four legged friend. Thanks for everything.

Really superb cottage to use as a staging place for a week long stay for family of 6 . Spotlessly clean, brand new feeling, well heated , all mod cons ( excellent appliances for cooking big meals ) . Very comfy beds . Great selection of board games & DVD for staying ; nice break from bustle of city. Very quiet & relaxing. Highly recommended!
