It also has fantastic amenities to enjoy such as pubs, shops, cafes and independent retailers. The Pennine Bridleway, open to cyclists, walkers and horse riders, also weaves up through the Peak District to the west of Tideswell. At the southern end of the village of Tideswell is a nature reserve featuring a delightful sculpture trail. The village is also well known for its annual Well Dressing with carnivals, parades and fun for the whole family together with the annual food festival.

In the centre of Tideswell a great place as a centre for Peak walks. Very cosy cottage. Small but had everything we needed for two adults and two teenage boys (including eight-if). It was lovely to arrive and have a few basics already provided (milk, bread etc).
