Perfectly located for trips to the beach, this property lies on the edge of the pretty seaside town of Kidwelly. Located on a complex with one other cottage, it backs onto wonderful country footpaths so you can explore the area with ease. In the town you’ll find shops and cafes, as well as a museum, a 12th century castle and a nature reserve in the former quay. Dubbed ‘the Garden of Wales’, the local area is famed for its beauty. Visit the golden sands of Pembrey beach or explore the National Botanic Garden of Wales. Or perhaps enjoy sea and river fishing, try some water sports, or walk the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.

After a busy day exploring, head back to the cottage and relax in the cosy lounge/diner, which has a real country feel. Put your feet up in front of the electric effect wood burner - the perfect spot to curl up with a book, enjoy a glass of wine, or watch the TV or a DVD. The kitchen is well-equipped, with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, plus a washer/dryer should you need it during your stay. The wooden staircase opens to the king-size bedroom with its en-suite bathroom. The bedroom has a TV and enjoys castle top views, while the bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC.

Outside there is a shared enclosed garden which is also used by the holiday cottage attached. Here you’ll find a patio area with garden furniture and a BBQ - great for dining alfresco on a warm summer’s eve. From here you also have direct access to the public footpath. A lockable outdoor storage unit is available for you to store any bikes and/or fishing equipment you bring with you, and the property has ample parking.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We really enjoyed staying in Kidwelly Cottage. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The location was good as it was not far from the beach or Brecon Beacons. The village itself had nice walks and the bonus of it's own local castle plus shops, pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Very enjoyable holiday.
