Ottery St Mary is steeped in history , made famous by its links to Cromwell and the English poet, Samuel Taylor Coleridge. It hosts several annual events, including Pixie Day, carnival processions, and most famously, the flaming tar barrels in November. It offers a beach with dog friendly sections, access to the World Heritage, South West Coastal Path, esplanade, water sports and Connaught Gardens. Lovely little annexe - perfect for a couple. Owners were extremely friendly & were on hand for anything required. Very quiet area with surrounding countryside & 7 miles from town/beach with village 1 & half miles away.

What a wonderful holiday! The owners could not have been more welcoming and the cottage was charming. Our only criticism is that it was a bit noisy at times as the cottage is opposite a garage and in a road. However, we had a lovely holiday.
