This was a perfect getaway for us, my wife, myself and the cockapoo. We were very comfortable and everything we needed was within walking distance i.e. shop and pub. Lovely place.

The cottage is situated over two floors with the bedroom doubling as a living/dining room and the kitchen/bathroom downstairs so all very compact. However, it is well designed and quite comfortable. It is well situated for exploring the beautiful Downs, and Steyning village nearby has a good independent grocery as well as several tea/coffee shops (Read moreand don't miss the museum). The owner was very helpful and provided some excellent tips for local pubs with good food. Hide

Excellent location for walking with a range of walks including the South Downs, woods and valleys all from the doorstep. Lovely cottage cleverly designed to make best use of the compact space. Courtyard offered outside space for the dog as well as al fresco dining. Helpful suggestions for walks and eating out.

Perfect location, close to shop, pub and walks from door. Lovely, secluded courtyard to enjoy in good weather. The sloping walls in the main living area would be restrictive for tall people. Compact, but fully functional.

We had a very pleasant stay at Little Oakwood. Chris and Steve will do all to make it as comfortable as possible. The location in Small Dole is very near to the idyllic South Downs, and near to Brighton and the beaches. It is also very close to many of the National Trust properties. This cottage is a real hidden gem.
