A lovely one-bedroom ground floor apartment overlooking the North Devon countryside, located within an original watermill building and is the perfect base for couples to explore North Devon.
The cottage sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty yet is located just outside of the pretty seaside town of Combe Martin with its independent shops, pubs and restaurants, with the larger town of Ilfracombe slightly further along the coast. Beach lovers will be spoilt for choice with Croyde, Woolacombe and Saunton all within an easy drive. Berrynarbour village is close-by and boasts a pub, tearooms, post office and local store. Country walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep, or a short drive takes you to the outstanding Exmoor National Park, or South West coastal path. Some attractions worth a visit are the Cliff Railway at Lynton and Lynmouth, Exmoor Zoo, National Trust Arlington Court, Watermouth Castle and Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park.
Accessed via its own private entrance, guests enter the handy hallway where boots and coats can be stored. This leads into the comfy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen area is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge with ice compartment, a great place to whip up a light snack. Separating the kitchen and lounge areas is the dining area with seating for two, which is located right next to a window overlooking the gardens. The lounge area is snug with a comfy sofa and chair surrounding the wood burner and the TV/DVD, the perfect place to sit back and relax after a day of exploring and catch up with your favourite film. Leading off the lounge area there is a large sliding door leading into the double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC.
Venturing outside you are welcome to take advantage of the excellent onsite facilities, including a shared indoor swimming pool and sauna, an outdoor tennis court and children's play area, and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. You are also welcome to use the seven acres of communal grounds featuring landscaped lawns, seating areas, a dog walking/exercise field, woodlands and ponds. Ample off-road parking can be found in the car park diagonally opposite the Watermill building.
