Conveniently located close to Dartmoor National Park, this lodge, which is part of a small complex of lodges, is a lovely retreat for families and outdoor lovers.

This property is located close to the north-western edge of Dartmoor National Park, just three miles from the town of Okehampton, where there are a number of shops, takeaways, and supermarkets, as well as specialist shops which cater for Dartmoor’s walkers, cyclists, and climbers. Dartmoor itself offers many miles of scenic walks for all abilities, ranging from easy strolls through to challenging hikes and climbs. Other places of interest in the local area include Lydford Gorge, Roadford Lake Country Park, and the city of Exeter. This large lodge-style single-storey property offers comfortable accommodation for four guests. A set of external stairs lead across the raised decked terrace to the property’s front door, which opens directly into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area has deep sofas and comfortable chairs to relax in whilst enjoying the TV/DVD and the flame-effect electric fire. There is a dining table seating four, and a well-equipped kitchen area which offers an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. The washer/dryer, meanwhile, is housed in a separate utility cupboard which also provides a handy storage space. The master bedroom is a double room which benefits from an en-suite shower room with WC and a TV, whilst the second bedroom is a homely twin room. The bathroom has a shower-over-bath and WC. Outside, there is a decked terrace to the front of the property, which features the wonderfully relaxing and private sunken hot tub which has the added luxury of an inbuilt iPod dock and speakers. Guests will also find garden furniture set out on the terrace, which provides the perfect space for enjoying alfresco meals and drinks. Guests are also able to make use of the inn’s grounds, located next door, which includes a fun children’s play area. Additionally, there is also a sauna inside the inn which guests have access to (at an additional charge). There is ample parking available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Maple Lodge on Meldon Lodge Park was absolutely amazing. It was a very comfortable lodge with all the amenities you need and the hot tub is lovely. The owners were lovely and happy to help with any questions etc. The lodge is located so you can get to lots of the sites of Devon including beaches! Would definitely book again.

Well equipped and comfortable lodge with everything you could want provided. Comfortable furnishings and very comfortable beds. We had a really relaxing time on the quiet park.

This is our second visit to Maple Lodge and honestly I cannot fault the place. It is home from home. The kitchen has literally everything you need to make home cooked meals. The restaurant at Betty Cottles Inn is a stone's throw away. The lodge is comfortable, clean and cant be faulted. Great location just a few minutes drive to Okehampton.
