This lovely cottage is situated in a wonderful location in the heart of an  Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Unwind and enjoy the diversity of the North Yorkshire  countryside, castles and Abbeys.

The cottage forms part of a traditional stone terrace of cottages in the heart of this peaceful village close. This is an ideal base for exploring the whole of North Yorkshire and you can enjoy  magnificent, uninterrupted rural views across farmland and moorland. The small, nearby market town of Masham is just 3 miles and here you will find everything you need. It  is a haven for artists, craftspeople and writers and is also famous for its family run breweries and annual sheep fair in September. Take a trip to the Yorkshire Dales and discover pretty  villages and miles of walks and cycle tracks to enjoy providing a real ‘get away from it all’ destination? A trip to Fountains Abbey is a must and only a short drive away. Skipton with its frequent market and the world-famous Bolton Abbey are further afield. Don’t forget to sample some of the marvellous local produce during your stay. Watch the magnificent wildlife local in the area,

Step into the entrance vestibule with coat hooks and somewhere to leave those muddy boots. From here there is a WC off to your left. Lead on into a warm and cosy lounge/kitchen/dining area. Comfortable sofas await  where you can relax back and watch a film or catch your favourite TV show on the Smart  TV. There is a bookcase with some games and books to enjoy after a busy day out and about exploring. The dining area has a traditional pine dining table to share a meal together and plan the next day’s activities. The kitchen has ample space to prepare a meal with electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine and microwave. A pine staircase leads to the first floor, where you will find two bedrooms, a double with exposed stone wall, beams, high ceiling and a lovely view over the village green. The single bedroom also has a high ceiling, cross beam and views onto the village green. You will also find the bathroom with shower over bath and WC on this floor.

Heading outside, there is off-road parking for two cars and a covered storage area for bikes and bins. A small patio area with a table and chairs is outside the cottage providing a nice spot to enjoy some Alfresco dining.

Beautiful well kept village with large duck pond opposite the property and a pub within 100yards. A good size property built in Yorkshire stone. Ripon and Masham a few minutes drive away.

Great location, fabulous village and brilliant and welcoming pub but the cottage was unloved and dirty.

Location is fabulous, people who run pub are lovely so welcoming and friendly as are all the people we met in the village, easy access in and out of property and surrounding areas really enjoyed our stay and looking forward to going back soon to explore more.

We had a fantastic time in Yorkshire and this was largely because of the location and facilities at the cottage. We also loved the village and its proximity to so many lovely places. We would thoroughly recommend the cottage to people wanting a peaceful break with so many places to visit,

The holiday cottage was well situated in a lovely area. Great for dogs. Good walks in wooded area in the village. Nearest shop is 3miles away but this wasnt a problem as we toured around every day and picked up supplies en route..The cottage itself was lovely but shower is poor and the fridge only has 2shelves. Double bed is super comfy!
