Traditional terraced cottage situated on a quiet lane in the estuary front village of Appledore in North Devon, and just two miles from the beach in the neighbouring village of Instow.
Appledore, is where boats bob in the town’s quay, and where there are range of tempting eateries to choose from. In the summer months, a ferry runs across the estuary to the village of Instow, home to a yacht club and a pleasant partially sandy beach, alternatively it is just a short drive away. A larger beach, the two-mile wide stretch of sand at Westward Ho! is just three miles away, whilst the harbour town of Bideford, with its charming cobbled streets, well regarded restaurants, and treasure trove of shops lies just four miles to the south.
As soon as guests enter this property, they will immediately get a feel for how homely and welcoming the cottage feels. The lounge/diner perfectly demonstrates this, with exposed beams, large open fire, wooden floor and comfortable seating. The Freeview TV/DVD, DAB radio, and iPod dock mean that guests can happily relax and enjoy cosy nights in, after long days of exploring. The kitchen is located just off the lounge/diner, and is equipped with an oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and a washer/dryer, giving guests the choice of whether they want to cook or go out and enjoy the village’s restaurants and pubs. There is a steep set of open-tread stairs which lead from the ground floor up to the first floor accommodation. Here, they will find a lovely double room with feature fireplace. There is also a snug room on the first floor, which offers guests a fantastic place to sit back with a book and enjoy this room’s stunning views across the estuary and out to sea. There is a shower room with shower and WC.
As is typical in the village, there is no parking attached to the property, but there is roadside parking available nearby.
