Forming part of the old Castle grounds in Crickhowell, this Georgian townhouse is set in a convenient location for the town and is a fantastic base from which to explore the Welsh hills, valleys and markets.

Set near the Brecon Beacons in Crickhowell, the town has a Saturday market, butchers, shops, restaurants and pubs all within walking distance. Abergavenny with its castle, shops and restaurants, is just 10 minutes by car. Hay on Wye, famous for The Hay Festival, is just 30 minutes. There is plenty of walking in the beautiful Brecon Beacons and The Black Mountains, many trails straight from the door or try a spot of fishing on the River Usk running just below the town. Golden Valley riding centre is just a couple of miles away for trekking in the hills, or try Triley Fields Equestrian for lessons and a cross country course. For more of a historical route venture towards the Golden Valley to explore several Norman ruins.

Inside, the accommodation is bright and light, with a neutral colour scheme, brightened with fun accents throughout each room. Set in a 3-storey building consisting of 3 apartments, the accommodation offers FIVE bedrooms: Ground floor apartment: 1 king-size and 1 twin, with additional single bed on request. Bathroom: with bath, shower and WC Lounge/diner: with Smart TV and DVD. Kitchen: well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. First Floor Apartment: 1 king-size and 1 double, with additional single bed on request. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: open-plan with Smart TV, DVD and iPod Dock. Kitchen area, with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. Second floor studio-style apartment: lounge/kitchen/diner/sleeping area, open-plan with sofa bed. Sleeping area has a king-size bed. Shower room: with shower and WC. Kitchen area, with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and washing machine. Outside: enclosed courtyard with garden furniture in the summer months and BBQ available on request. Amenities: ample off-road parking. Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi included. 2 dogs welcome, ground floor only. Additional info: welcome pack on arrival. Bike storage available. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

SLEEPS 5 - 12: Five bedrooms, three king-size, two twin, plus the option of 2 additional single z beds being added, plus a sofa bed. A travel cot is available too. Top notch bedding and fluffy towels included.

RELAXING: Each floor has a living space, with the largest being on the ground floor, there are stylish sofas and hand made bean bags, perfect for everyone relaxing on one level...or enjoying a spot of peace and quiet on their own private floor! 3 large Smart TV's, Blu-Ray players, Sound Docks and Wi-Fi.

DINING: Each level has a kitchen with electric ovens, hobs, microwaves, dishwasher, fridge, freezer in the main kitchen and all the pots, pans, plates etc you could possible need. Yummy local welcome gift on arrival.

BATHING: A bathroom on each level, two with a bath, shower, basin and loo, one with deluxe shower, basin and loo. Soft towels included as well as local toiletries.

STORAGE: There is private off road parking in your own gated car park. A hall way with cool boot rack, and space for a pushchair. Cycle storage too.

GARDEN: Private terrace with barbeque. The castle grounds are also right round the corner for stretching the legs!

OTHER STUFF: Fully central heated. Books and games, cot & highchair all available.

PETS: Two dogs are very welcome, downstairs only please.

ACCESS: The town of Crickhowell has a bus service with links to the train station in Abergavenny for those prefering to travel by public transport. For guests who are driving there is a gated private car park with the accommodation.

A must-visit spot for UK holidays, Crickhowell is located in the Brecon Beacons National Park, a true Welsh beauty spot. This small market town has the River Usk running through it and an abundance of waterside spots where you can enjoy a pint or a bite to eat. You'll find the ancient ruins of Crickhowell Castle and its surrounding grounds at the very end of your street, perfect for an afternoon stroll, and an elegant hotel bar and dining area less than 200 meters from the house. Once you've discovered the local area, be sure to check out the surrounding walking routes throughout the valley, heading 4.5 miles to Llangynidr as a starting off point. You can also enjoy the International Dark Sky accreditation of the area, where iconic constellations are within clear sight in the dead of night. Crickhowell is home to the yearly independent arts festival Green Man, and this property is ideal accommodation for a group of friends who don't fancy committing to camping.
