Detached barn completed in 2020 - set in a beautiful spot with outstanding countryside views, this holiday home offers a great place for families or friends with lots of fun additions to make your stay as memorable as possible.

This property enjoys a tranquil rural location in the midst of the Devonshire countryside. Situated in the village of Oakford, you are well placed to explore both Exmoor and Dartmoor and everywhere in-between. Close to shops and pubs offering a choice of eateries so the pressure is off when it comes to cooking. Enjoy scenic walking routes to suit all abilities, ranging from gentle strolls to challenging long-distance hikes. Other attractions within easy reach of the property include the grand western canal, Tiverton Castle and the beautiful Bickleigh. Further afield is the expansive beach at Minehead, the cathedral city of Exeter, and the medieval village of Dunster with its ancient castle. Approaching this property down quiet country lanes, guests will immediately appreciate the secluded surroundings which allow them to escape the stresses of day-to-day life.

The impressive and contemporary accommodation offers guests a superb holiday home with a huge open-plan lounge/diner with snug at one end with books games and a pool table. The lounge area entices you to relax on the comfy sofas and watch the Smart TV or challenge your partner to a game of pool or just put your feet up and enjoy a good book. The centre of the property offers a large dining table seating everyone comfortably, a wood burner and large French doors that open up onto the garden. The kitchen is separated by a breakfast bar and is well-equipped and where guests will find everything they need to cook up a storm including a large Range oven and hob, microwave, large American style fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. For those who need to do laundry, there is a washing machine and tumble dryer located in a separate utility room. The property has six bedrooms in total, four on the ground floor, two doubles, one twin each with their own en-suite shower rooms with WC's and one super-king-size with access to a wet room shower with WC, this wet room also has a door from the hallway. A separate WC is also on the ground floor. Up to the first floor is a twin room with en-suite shower room with shower and WC and a fabulous master super-king-size bedroom with luxurious en-suite bathroom with freestanding slipper bath, separate shower and WC.

Heading outside through the large picture French doors which offers superb rattan style garden furniture and a private hot tub. Strike up the BBQ  on the patio area overlooking sweeping Devon countryside you will also find a large lawn area, ideal for ball games. 

Ample off-road parking at the rear and the front entrance for up to six cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

With its 19th-century parkland and Gothic Revival architecture by Victorian visionary William Burges, nearby Knightshayes Court (12 miles) is a house full of quirks and curiosities. And with 1,200 plant species unique to Knightshayes, its garden is said to boast one of the finest and most varied plant collections in the country. Alternatively, make your way to Dunster Castle (21 miles), a National Trust property that was the lavish country home of the Luttrell family for six centuries. Visit the property’s working water mill and take in views across the Bristol Channel from its splendid gardens. The shopaholics in your group should grab the chance to visit Barnstaple’s historic Pannier Market (23 miles), which is one of Britain’s largest indoor markets. It has remained largely unchanged for over 150 years. Or enjoy a day out in Brickleigh (15 miles), a picturesque village in the Exe Valley where you’ll find lovely thatched cottages, a railway museum, beautiful gardens and a lot of shops and restaurants housed in the 18th-century Brickleigh Mill.

Amazing place in the country! we absolutely loved our stay - Ian and Clare the owners staying on the farm close by are lovely and made us very welcome. We could not fault our stay - central enough to go to Ilfracombe and Torquay for days out no problem. Very spacious lounge/dining room/games room/large TV. Outside area was perfect for the children Read moreto wonder and play all day, hot-tub was a big plus! Could'nt fault our stay - only it want not long enough!!! weve booked for next year already :-) Hide

Muse Hill Barn is very well appointed with 6 en-suite double rooms, and comfortable seating for 12 in the living and dining areas. Friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts 100 yds away in farmhouse. Beautiful views across valley. Hot tub and pool table provided entertainment on rainy days.
