We absolutely loved St Agnes it is such a hidden gem. A real taste of Cornwall. The cottage overall was great. Like many other of the reviews I would add caution around the entrance to the cottage. Cottage was lovely; good size clean and comfortable, Very remote. Walk to St Agnes is a mile a half. Beautiful and extremely clean cottage, with stunning view of the beacon, and distant shoreline. The pond in the garden was a lovely feature, and we saw lots of wildlife during our stay, including a fox playing in the field. Beautiful and spacious, well-equipped cottage on the exposed headland. We so enjoyed our stay at Newdowns. The cottage was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. We loved the log burner and cosy lounge. The cottage had all the facilities we needed and more. Newdowns was a great base for walking the coast path or visiting local towns such as St Ives or Padstow. A 4x4 is ideal for tackling the long, farm track! You definitely need an appropriate vehicle to reach the property which is down a very rough farm track. The property is of a generous size and is beautifully clean. The garden, however, is definitely not dog proof.

Beautiful cottage in a fabulously quiet location...very well kitted out with all you could wish for. This was our third visit as we love it so much. Note that low vehicles are not suitable because of the unmade road leading to cottage (however, we did manage it in a Fiat 500 if only very slowly!!).
