One of two fantastic properties in a beautiful setting in the Brecon Beacons with plenty to explore right on your doorstep. A wonderfully presented property to return and relax in after a busy day.

Secluded converted henhouse set in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Country and mountain walks are right on your doorstep, with the Sugar Loaf and Skirrid providing an amazing backdrop. Visit the historic town of Abergavenny with an eclectic mix of shops, pubs and restaurants, with regular food festivals and markets three miles. Interesting days out at Blaenavon Iron Works and The Big Pit or perhaps try star gazing at the Brecon Beacons Visitor Centre. Nearby you can visit galleries, museums and historic castles at Grosmont, White Castle and Raglan. Plenty of activities to enjoy including riding, golf, kayaking on the Usk and Wye or a visit to Hay on Wye, the town of books, which is within easy reach.

On entering the property, the interior is a wonderful surprise with a light and airy feel, achieved with a contemporary finish following a conversion in 2017. Enter into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, the double height ceiling adds to the spacious feel of this impressive family room. There are two leather sofas alongside a lovely reclaimed coffee table to play games or just sit back and watch the Smart TV. Leading on from here is the stylish and well-equipped kitchen with electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and the washing machine is housed in separate room. This welcoming space also has the dining area with doors leading to outside. Laid out across the ground floor there are three bedrooms, a master king-size with en-suite wet room with WC, a further king-size with en-suite shower room with WC and a twin bedroom (which can be made up as a super-king-size on request) with an en-suite bathroom with WC. A fabulous and warming property, with the benefit of underfloor heating, making this a super retreat at any time of the year.

Outside there is a large private enclosed garden, with patio area with furniture and lawn beyond. There is ample private parking adjacent to the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

SLEEPS: There are three bedrooms, one with a king-size bed, one with twin beds that can be made as super-king-sizes on request and a further king-size room.

RELAXING: Electric and underfloor heating and Wi-Fi is included for your stay.

COOKING & DINING: There is a double electric oven and an induction hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, washing machine and two Bluetooth speakers.

KEEPING CLEAN: There are three en-suite rooms with WC, one wet room with WC, one shower room and one bathroom, both with a WC. Towels are provided for your stay. An adjustable height shower seat and an adjustable height toilet frame and seat are available for the wet room

OUTSIDE: Outside there is a large enclosed garden with tables and seating. There is ample private parking available.

PETS: This property welcomes two dogs.

Excellent accommodation in a good location. Clean and minimalistic with very welcoming and helpful owners. The Spring lambs were a particular highlight to our stay.

The location of the cottage was perfect for just parking up the car for a week and walking in the local area through lanes and footpaths. We did venture out on one day to visit Llanthony Priory which was most enjoyable for the whole family. We were made very welcome by our hosts, and were able to see the newborn lambs as they arrived. The grandchilRead moredren absolutely loved seeing them. The cottage has perfect grounds for children to play outside and very practical layout inside for family comfort. Hide

Lovely cottage in a quiet location, immediate access to local walks and cycle routes. Enclosed garden was excellent for the dog. General facilities are very good, each bedroom with own en suite. Well equipped kitchen ie oven, fridge and freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle all in top condition.
