This property is located in the attractive harbour town of Bideford, located on the River Torridge in North Devon. The town has an interesting range of shops and choice of well regarded restaurants, as well as a weekly pannier market. One unusual day trip that visitors can take from the town’s harbour is the fantastic trip on the MS Oldenburg out to the beautiful traffic free island of Lundy in the Bristol Channel, where seals and puffins can be seen, and there are a number of fascinating historic buildings and ruins to be explored. Beach lovers won’t be disappointed either, as just three miles away is the huge sandy beach at Westward Ho!
Entering this property, guests will come directly to the welcoming lounge with its warming woodburner, exposed beams, cosy seating, Freeview TV/DVD, iPod dock, hi-fi and a selection of children’s toys and games to keep the little ones amused. The dining room is located between the lounge and kitchen, a light and airy room with a large dining table and an attractive feature fireplace. The kitchen, to the rear of the property, is a sunny room which overlooks the garden, and offers an oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The ground floor shower room is accessed via two steps down and has a shower cubicle and WC. The property has three bedrooms, all of which are tastefully decorated in an understated style, creating uncluttered, restful spaces. The first of these is a twin bedroom, located on the ground floor, though accessed via two steps. The remaining two bedrooms are located on the first floor: a twin room and a double room which benefits from an additional single bed which would be perfect for a couple with a young child. Guests should be aware that the property has steep cottage style stairs and that the first floor bedrooms have several steps between them. There is also a bathroom on the first floor, with a lovely free standing, roll top bath with handheld shower attachment and a WC.
To the rear of the property is a lovely sunny patio, with table and chairs and a BBQ, providing a great space for alfresco meals. There is allocated off-road parking for two cars.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
