Nearby visits to The Alnwick Garden and Castle, Rothbury and the Simonside Hills, the coastal villages of Amble, Alnmouth and Craster, as well as trips over to the Farne Islands and Holy Island are just a few of the choices on offer plus, you can catch the train in Morpeth for a day trip to the vibrant city of Newcastle’s city centre.
You access this warm and welcoming, single storey property from the front door and into the bright hallway. The lounge is on the right overlooking the front garden and has a comfortable sofa which is also a sofa bed for an additional guest and there is a second, smaller sofa where you can all settle back and relax. There is a warming feature gas fire and for your entertainment, there is a TV/DVD. The immaculate kitchen/diner/family room is light, airy and spacious and has everything you need to make and enjoy a meal in together, including a gas hob, an integrated electric oven, walk-in larder with a microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There is plenty of crockery and cutlery including a set for children and space to store your own food and drinks. The dining table is positioned near the French doors overlooking the rear lawned garden and there is another comfortable sofa where you or the children can sit and watch TV while dinner is being prepared. Outside, you have access to a separate utility room with a sink and a clothes airer – ideal to use as a boot room and somewhere to store and dry your outdoor gear. There are two bedrooms; the master bedroom a super king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin upon request). There is plenty of storage space for your things including a sliding door wardrobe with internal drawers, as well as bedside drawers, a chair, a hairdryer and a long mirror. The second bedroom has a set of standard size bunk beds and a large wardrobe. The luxury family bathroom is beautifully tiled, and the owners provide toiletries for your use during your stay. There is a shower over the bath, WC and an illuminated mirror. There are useful USB charging points in the property and the walls are adorned with lovely, original artwork from a local artist.
Outside, at the rear you can extend your days relaxing or playing out in the south-facing, enclosed garden on the gently sloping lawn. There is a corner spot with a patio table and chairs which is a sheltered ‘sun trap’ and ideal for morning coffee, al fresco dining or evening drinks.
